Corrected entry: Before he leaves for his Baja fishing trip, Jack Nicholson's character sits at an airport bar drinking a plastic cup of Scotch. As the camera pulls away in the next frame, he's shown sitting in front of a tall flute of beer. A few frames later, he's back in close up, nursing his short plastic cup of scotch.
Corrected entry: In the shot when the league table for the qualifying group is flashed up on the screen, before England's final group game, the table can't be right, since the total number of defeats in the table does not equal the total number of wins.
Correction: Since when does the total number of defeats in the table need to equal the number of wins? Don't forget draws. Looking at the table, every team has played 9 games. England have won 4 games, drawn 2 games and lost 3 games. 4+2+3=9 games played. The table is perfectly correct. If you are asking why England have 11 in the "F" column" and 12 in the "A" column - these columns are not about wins or losses. They stand for the number of goals scored by England (F), and the number of goals conceded by England (A).
Corrected entry: When Michael is dreaming about Natalie as rose petals fall on her, watch Natalie's face. A rose petal pokes her right in the eye as it hits her face, and you can clearly see her blink rapidly. This is a romantic scene, so it wasn't done intentionally, so it's surprising that the editors left this in.
Correction: Actually its a spoof of a scene in American Beauty, and therefore not a "romantic scene". Its entirely possible that the blinking was intentional just to make fun of the absurdity of the original scene.
Corrected entry: The cop told Frank that no evidence was found of a body in the incinerator. However, even if the rest of Steve Buscemi's body had burned to dust, his teeth wouldn't have, as teeth are enamel and don't burn. They would've still been inside the incinerator long after the rest of the body had burned.
Correction: I'm sure Vince Vaughn went back and cleaned up. He was a very smart criminal, so he wouldn't have left behind that type of evidence.
Corrected entry: How can Jessica Biel catch up to Freddy after he heads for his truck and is leaving after almost getting caught swimming in the rain? He left way before her.
Correction: After Freddy got out of the pool he went to set the alarm off on Jessica Biel's dad's car, so that slowed him down.
Corrected entry: When Kyun-woo and his girlfriend are taken hostage at the amusement park, he threatens them with a submachine gun. Shortly after the deserter takes Kyun-woo outside and now he holds an M-16 rifle to Kyun-woo's head. It is larger in size than the other one and the soldier didn't appear to have another weapon.
Correction: He always had an M-16.
Corrected entry: Tom Savini has all of his weapons in his vehicle, yet sacrifices all of it to blow up three zombies that he could've easily just shot.
Correction: This was a bad decision by the character, not a movie mistake.
Corrected entry: In the scene when Adam kills his brother at the typewriter, his brother is seen drinking straight out of a liquor bottle but when Adam goes to kill him, the bottle is sitting on the desk with the lid on.
Correction: Both scenes are flashbacks and the first one is the one Adam made up to fool the FBI agent. There are a great many differences between them.
Corrected entry: When Kevin Costner pulls up to the gas station look at the dirt. There are already tire tracks in it. They are surely from previous takes.
Correction: It's a gas station. Cars that stop there for a short time and then drive off is kind of what it is all about.
Corrected entry: In the beginning, when the giant crystal is sinking the city, Kida drops her doll. When she goes to get it, her mum pulls her back, kneels down and tells her that "There is not enough time". It would have been faster to just get the doll, but the mum wastes ten times the amount of time to tell her not to.
Correction: Character mistake, not a movie mistake.
Corrected entry: Leopold reveals what an ignoramus Kate's boss is by discussing and quoting from La Boheme. But Leopold was brought forward in time from 1876 - 20 years before La Boheme even premiered. (01:01:10)
Correction: Who's to say that Leopold might not have learned that sometime after he'd come into the present time, say from books in Stewart's flat?
Corrected entry: There are supposed to be a few weeks between Charlie Sheen's first and second visit to the mail room, yet the mail boy is still reading the same issue of the Tomb Raider comic book. He must be a very slow reader. (00:26:40 - 00:44:25)
Correction: The mail boy enjoys a specific issue and merely rereads it. This is not unusual by any means. Both adults and kids alike reread the same favorite comics or books over and over and over again.
Corrected entry: The Union Soldiers use a Gatling gun to attack the bushwhackers near the beginning of the film. The Gatling gun was developed, but never used in combat during the Civil War, especially not in the less important Trans-Mississippi theater. Furthermore the Gatling gun shown has 10-12 barrels, the first one developed only had 6.
Correction: False. They were used at the siege of Vicksburg, etc.
Corrected entry: If the team have only 9 days to complete the job then why are they always taking breaks?
Corrected entry: In the car crash in the beginning of the movie, the car breaks through some large steel bars on the bridge and ends up hanging down from it. But actually the hole, which the car is supposed to create, is there already! Hint: Run it in slow motion and it's pretty obvious.
Correction: Per the rules of this site, if you have to use slow motion to see something, then it is not a valid mistake.
The contribution says that it's pretty obvious when you watch it in slow motion, not that it is needed to do so. However, having watched the scene, I'd say it's pretty darn necessary to watch it in slo-mo to catch it, indeed, so I agree with the correction.
Corrected entry: The movie is called "Made," yet the boys *weren't* "made," nor was there any mention of that concept throughout the whole movie. In fact, the movie didn't even seem to be about that kind of "organized crime."
Correction: In the film, Max is a local mafia boss. Bobby has connections with Max, although he does honest work. But he decides to do a money laundering deal for Max. The film is indeed about organized crime. While it's open for interpretation, at the end Bobby cuts ties with Max and the mafia and his girlfriend and thus becomes a "made" man through honest work. Plus, Bobby is working for "made" men.
Correction: There are no reservoirs, nor are there dogs in the movie Reservoir Dogs. Monster's Ball is not about a bunch of monsters attending a party. Man on Fire is not about a man who is on fire. Sometimes movie titles are not directly related to the plot of the movie, and that is not a movie mistake.
Corrected entry: When Chihiro and her parents discover the passageway, it is a solid plaster entrance, painted red. However at the end of the film, when they return to the car, the passageway is made out of grey stone. (00:02:55 - 01:55:10)
Correction: This is not a mistake. It is a plot device. The passageway is not made of plaster when it is not magically active. It also normally doesn't lead into the Spirit World. Only when it is active. - Jacob.
Corrected entry: Near the end when Katinka is telling Derek to "Relax" before the Derelicte show, there's a mole on her left cheek. Then when Katinka grabs K-Mart at the beginning of the show, the mole is on the right cheek. (01:11:35 - 01:12:20)
Correction: The first shot is in a mirror. The mole is on the same cheek, it is just the mirror reflection that makes it seem otherwise.
Corrected entry: During the scene were Bly is going over different tracks on his laptop prior to going to a night club, you can see a track map for Nurburgring on the laptop screen. The cart series do not race at Nurburgring.
Correction: CART indeed never raced at the Nurburgring, but that does not mean his simulator cannot include the track for general testing purposes; it may not be a CART-specific sim.
Corrected entry: In the scene at the laundromat, Yitzhak is eyeing a flier for "Rent" auditions. When the camera pans down through a close-up of the flier, a business card is visible on the wall behind the flier, in the bottom right corner. When the shot goes back to Yitzhak looking at it, the card is gone. (00:46:05)
Correction: On the DVD widescreen this does not happen, the card is visible the entire time.
Correction: These shots are split by shots showing TV news coverage, planes leaving the hanger, etc, and are intended to show that significant time is passing as he sits there. His going from scotch to beer and back to scotch is another hint that he's been there long enough to have had several drinks.
