Corrected entry: When the Mafia guys takes off from the Marina, he just jumps in the Ferrari, turns on the lights and drives away. He never started the car.
Corrected entry: The Royal Guards who arrested William wore a Spanish helmet. This helmet actually didn't became in fashion until the time of Elizabeth the First, 200 years later.
Correction: The helmet worn by the Royal Guard is not a Spanish helmet, it is actually a Comb Morion, which was designed and exported by the Italians and looks extremely similar to the Spanish helmet worn by Elizabeth the First's courtiers. The Comb Morion very well may have been worn by the Royal Guard in the time period of the film.
The Morion is a Spanish helmet, and wasn't in use until the 1500s. The helmet the Italians designed based on it was the Cabasset. This movie has to take place in the 1300s for Chaucer to be a character. The royal guard would be much more likely to be wearing Bascinets.
Corrected entry: The brothers get their tail light bulb replaced at the service station (after the truck smashes them into the tree). Later on, when they are turning onto the dirt road to go to the cornfield, the light is out again. (01:08:05)
Correction: The bulb was out, then replaced, then went out again. Considering the age of the car, it isn't surprising that there is an electrical short blowing the same bulb over and over.
Corrected entry: When Tcheky Karyo is bleeding from his face, he blows blood out of his nose, resulting in a copious amount of blood running to his mouth. In the next shot, the area between his nose and mouth is much cleaner than it was before.
Correction: Most people, when blowing something out of their nose, immediately wipe the area under their nose with their finger. He could have done this during the switch in shots.
Corrected entry: When Scooby and the gang reach the ending level, one of the students says that he's never beaten the last level. The only problem: The student created the game, so he SHOULD know how to get past the final level.
Correction: Knowing HOW to beat a game and being ABLE to beat a game are two totally different things. He states he has never beaten this level, because it's so hard. For example, I have played many a game where I have a "Strategy Guide" that tells me HOW to win the game, but actually winning took me quite a few tries.
Corrected entry: On the scene where they go see the coach in jail he is shown with hand grips, then when it switches to an over the shoulder shot he no longer has them, then it shows a frontal of him and he has them once agan.
Correction: The over the shoulder shot of the coach does not show the handgrip exerciser because the angle of the shot. There is no evidence that the hand grip exerciser was not there. We do not see he hands with nothing in them. We don't see his hands at all.
Corrected entry: When Lance Barton visits Sonte Jenkins at her house for the first time, King (the guy from heaven) shows up to tell Lance that he has found a new body for him. At one point during this scene they show the conversation through the butler's eyes. Through his eyes they show Lance talking to himself (actually talking to King) but if the butler was looking at anybody talking to himself it should have been the character of Charles Wellington talking to himself and not the character of Lance Barton - nobody can see Lance Barton, as he is dead.
Correction: A similar "mistake" has been submitted and corrected. It's just the audience who sees Barton talking to himself, not Cisco (the butler), just like it's the audience who hears Barton's voice on the answering machine. It's just a filming choice, like when he was doing stand-up and it switched between Barton and Wellington.
Corrected entry: When Adele takes Peter (Jim Carrey) to the building where they had their "secret place" (The basement where the statue of the falling soldiers is), check the front of the building before they enter the basement. It has the date "1976" above the door; but the movie occurs in 1951.
Correction: The date on the building is 1876, not 1976.
Corrected entry: In the scene when Mike, Sully, and Boo were all hiding from Randall in the bathroom, all three of them are standing on the toilet in the same stall. They look straight ahead and see Randall using the sink in front of a mirror. But, a minute later Randall is busting open the door to each stall. When he hits their stall door open, he is looking the other way, and doesn't see them. Yet he would have seen their reflection in the mirror. I realize that Randall's eyes were not looking straight ahead into the mirror. But, where he was looking, he would have easily seen a huge, bright blue and green monster. (00:40:10)
Correction: His eyes weren't looking directly into the mirror and looking the other way, yes. But if his eyes were looking that direction, his eyes would only be focusing in the specific direction he was looking at. He wouldn't be paying attention to anything else.
Corrected entry: In the scene near the end of the movie where Derek and his sister are at the playground with her son, Derek's sister tells him what she said to Sarah. Derek gets mad and then leaves to go tell his friend that he is not going with him. You can see that when Derek is at the park it is mid day and the sun is out. But by the time he gets to Malikye the sky is pitch black.
Correction: If it was late in the day, this is completely possible, especially considering that the movie is set during winter, when the sun sets early.
Corrected entry: When Virgil Malloy is walking through the casino with the balloons, he bumps into Turk Malloy. Watch when he first bumps into him and their argument ensues. Their mouths are not moving. (00:35:50)
Correction: Unless you can see their heads/faces in fullscreen, you don't see their faces at all, all you see is partial hair and the balloons going up to the ceiling.
Corrected entry: Sigourney Weaver crashes her silver Mercedes into Gene Hackman's Rolls, causing very noticeable front end damage. The next morning, the car is as new again.
Correction: After she crashes her car, she visits him in the hospital. The next scene is when she goes round his house, so there is nothing to suggest that there wasn't a few days in between her visiting him and then going round his house, giving enough time for the car to be fixed.
Corrected entry: In the restaurant scene, just before Hal is "mentally rescued" or returned to his normal way of viewing women by his friend, the booth Rosemary is sitting in breaks. As she is on her back, Hal and another restaurant patron run to her rescue. At this time, Hal is still seeing Rosemary as her pretty Gwyneth self. Hal and the restaurant patron pick up Rosemary with no problem whatsoever. They pick her up as they would someone as skinny as Gwyneth Paltrow. Because of Rosemary's great weight, they should have had great difficulty in picking her up from the broken booth.
Correction: As mentioned by Tony Robbins when Mauricio asked about Hal not feeling Rosemary as being big, the same can be said by the "Hal cam" that we see. While she may have been alot more difficult for them to pick her up off the floor, Hal's perception is that she was easy and thin to pick up and that's what we see as well.
Corrected entry: When Farva and Ramathorn are in Dimpus burger, after Farva finds the hole in his cup, he dives over the counter and tackles the kid who took his order. However, in a later scene, when the chief and Farva are looking at the video of the incident, it shows Farva sliding over the counter, landing on his feet, pushing another kid out of the way, and shoving a burger in the kids face that took his order.
Correction: Watching the movie right now. At every point during the time the chief and Farva are watching the tape, Farva is already behind the counter. The only person shown jumping over the counter on the tape is Thorny, which took place after the original scene and is only ever shown on the tape. In other words, everything on the tape happened after the original scene ended and cannot be a continuity error as it is being seen for the first and only time.
Corrected entry: During the scene where Seymour tells Enid the origins of Cook's Chicken, a record is playing. At one point, Semour changes the record. When he takes the record off the player and puts it back in its case, the music keeps going.
Correction: It never shows Seymour actually changing the record, just putting the record back in its sleeve, therefore, as an avid record collector it is more likely he is browsing through his collection OR that he had already changed the record then put the new one on the player offscreen, before putting the old one back in the sleeve.
Corrected entry: When Travolta and Jackman are driving the TVR Tuscan, Travolta tells Jackman to drive. He says he "couldn't possibly drive this thing". He then proceeds to crunch the gears and drive it flawlessly - the chase scene that then follows shows some impressive driving though the streets from a guy who 10 seconds beforehand did not have a clue how to operate the vehicle. I have owned a TVR Tuscan for 3 years and its not the sort of car you can just jump into and drive flawlessly at high speed through tight city streets with no previous experience of driving a right hand drive car, let alone a manual one with the gearstick on the 'wrong side'.
Correction: This is a somewhat subjective mistake. While certain cars and vehicles might be more difficult than others to learn and operate, its not beyond the realm of impossibility. Its a bit like saying a character in a film shouldn't be able to operate a crane, or a speedboat when they seemingly have never used one before.
Corrected entry: At the end of the move when Kate is running around the mansion, where did all the party staff go? Would someone as wealthy as the family is supposed to be just leave their house trashed like that?
Correction: All the power was out remember it would be pretty hard to clean up in the dark they may have said they would come back in the morning when there was light to pick up or even by law forced to stop working since there was no light as it can be a unsafe enviroment.
Corrected entry: During the entire time the kids are in outer space, they can somehow breathe.
Correction: If you watch the TV series, in The Junkman Cometh, Jimmy starts to explain to Sheen how that works before being interrupted by Carl. Either way, Jimmy has a method.
Corrected entry: Danny Balint spends all his formative years in a yeshiva. The friends he meets from the past each wear a yarmulke, a sign of being an Orthodox Jew. Yet when he goes to the synagogue after being invited, there are women wearing "talliths" (or talithim in Hebrew) as well as the mixing of men and women in the congegation. This would never happen in an Orthodox synagogue.
Correction: All Jews, whether orthodox, reform or conservative, have the choice to wear yamulkes. Because the friends were wearing yamulkes does NOT automatically mean that they are orthodox Jews. It is perfectly viable that they wore yamulkes as non-orthodox jews, and therefore attended a non-orthodox synagogue.
Corrected entry: When Isabella is telling Lee & Carter about the counterfeit money, she says 14 out of 15 banks can't tell the difference. Shortly after, she also says that there is only one way to spot a fake, which is by burning it. Does this mean the 15th bank simply burns all their money?
Correction: What Isabella said doesn't necesarily mean that the 15th bank burns all their money. The bank just know that it's POSSIBLE to tell the difference between the counterfeits and the real ones. If there are suspicions that the money's counterfeit, only the 15th bank knows how to easily test it. The other 14 banks wouldn't even know a method to find out if money's fake. That's what Isabella meant.
Correction: Please be more specific when submitting - he drives away from the marina twice. Once at about 0:12:00 and then in another scene at 0:38:58. The second instance is the one you're referring to - but he DOES start the engine - it's just not as obvious as the first time. The lights come on when the key is turned - the sound of the starting engine is clear if you listen closely.
