Visible crew/equipment: When Andy and the doll gets out of school, the whole film crew is reflected in the doors.
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the restaurant where Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman are trying to order breakfast, Hoffman's character fixes the salt and pepper shaker a certain way. In the next shot they are opposite the way he fixed them. Then in the next shot they are back to the way he had fixed them. (00:37:15)
Continuity mistake: When mom finds the failed test in Les's pocket, it is folded into eighths. Later, when dad shows the failed test to Les, it has only been folded into thirds.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the souls are coming out of Freddy's chest, in the first close-up on the bottom left of the screen you can see a man's hand holding a black stick to manoeuvre the little arms. It's real fast but noticeable on standard play. (01:20:45)
Continuity mistake: In the final final fight scene, Jean Claude's hair is dry and combed, then wet and sweaty, then back to dry so on and so forth.
Continuity mistake: When Otho is going through the house suggesting changes he is wearing white sneakers in one room and red ones in the next. (00:16:25)
Factual error: At one point in the movie the sun is behind the helicopter and we can see that the places for the missiles are empty. However, he's shooting right after that.
Revealing mistake: When Charlie and Daisy get the flat and have to hitch-hike, and Daisy takes off her shoes to run to the car that has stopped, the bottoms of her feet are already filthy (presumably from having to do the scene over and over).
Audio problem: When Corny introduces himself at the auto show, the audio is not in sync with his lips.
Revealing mistake: In the final scene as Doc tell Billy good-bye if you look up to the top right hand corner of the screen you can clearly see a jet trail in the blue sky. Certainly not possible in those days. (01:42:20)
Continuity mistake: When Mark Harmon's character arrives at Sean Connery's house, as he gets out of the car he slams the door, but the sound of the door comes a few seconds later.
Continuity mistake: When MAC is blown by the helicopter, he lands on a man's windshield, and the man has to start dodging traffic. Between shots the traffic he is dodging changes. (00:10:45)
Continuity mistake: When the bad guys are outside the hotel in the convertible, they spot Lassard and one of them spits milkshake over the inside of the windshield. The milkshake disappears in the next shot.
Revealing mistake: Any time when the two girls are in hell's corridors and running around, you see these corridors as stone walls, yet whenever they back up against one of these walls, you can clearly see they are merely rubber sheeting overlayed on a framework as the rubber sheeting bends and contracts very clearly.
Visible crew/equipment: When Nada is escaping with Holly, you can see the reflection of the film crew on the car. (00:44:15)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Tom Hanks goes back to his mother's house when he's "BIG", he tries to convince his mother it's him by telling her his birthday: November 3rd. However, in the scene (with John Heard and Elizabeth Perkins) showing the milk carton of Tom Hanks "missing" as a young boy, his d.o.b. is shown as 1/20/75. (00:16:50 - 00:53:05)
Factual error: During Gavin Grey's first NFL game in 1957, the helmets depicted for both the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers are historically inaccurate. The Redskins did not employ the burgundy helmets with the feather-stripe running along the center until 1958, and the Steelers didn't use black helmets with the Steelmark logo until 1963. In 1957, the Redskins used solid gold helmets while the Steelers used yellow helmets with a black stripe along the center and black numerals on either side.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where the bodies are found in the river, Tom Berenger yells, "Sarah". As he looks down the river in the "wilderness" a logging truck can be seen driving down a road.
Continuity mistake: When Petri fell into the tar pit, there were two dinosaur skeletons, one on each side. When Spike, Ducky and Littlefoot went to rescue him, the skeletons were gone.
Visible crew/equipment: When Johnny is spinning the two robbers around, you can tell that he is actually holding dummies. In the close up shots of the robbers, you can see them kicking their legs, but in the wide shots of the room, they are rigid and lifeless.
