Factual error: In the scenes where Gardner is messaging his Earth based female friend Tulsa from his Mars home, their communication is shown as being in real time. In truth, there would be minimum of a 4 min lag between messages due to the distance. (00:24:00)

Revealing mistake: When John picks his wife up at the airport, it's raining. But look at the people around outside, they are in T-shirts, in the sun, and not getting wet. Obviously the rain is being sprayed on the car.

Visible crew/equipment: When Charlie walks down to the front of the class in the hanger, Jester is the only one at the front. Look at the reflection of Maverick's glasses, and the reflection shows lots of people standing in front of him, likely film crew. (00:26:20)

Revealing mistake: On Billy's first day of school when he is outside waiting for the bus and it just passes him you hear the noise of kids on a bus, but when it passes no one is in it.

Revealing mistake: In the last scene where Edward and Bella are sitting in the sunny field, Edward is not sparkling. (01:52:55)

Continuity mistake: In the 'Gaston' song sequence, near the end, Gaston is sitting in his huge antler chair with Lefou. In the wide shot, there is a bear rug behind the chair. The camera does a close up of Gaston, then in the next wide shot, the chair is on top of the bear rug. Also, after this, Gaston gets up off of the chair and in the next shot, both the chair and the rug disappear completely. (00:29:20)

Revealing mistake: Leonardo DiCaprio blinks after he dies. (01:50:28)

Factual error: During the 31st year of the Avalon's voyage, the ship passes close to the star Arcturus, which is about 37 light years from Earth. Later in the movie, it was stated that the Avalon was moving at around 50% of the speed of light. The ship would not have reached Arcturus in the time allotted.

Plot hole: When Andy turns into a werewolf, he kills both Amy and Detective Benbou. Later in the morgue, Amy tells him because of this that she is forced to become his "rotting sidekick." If this is completely true, then Detective Benbou should also be following Andy around but he isn't seen after Andy manages to escape from the morgue.

Factual error: Denham is obviously shooting a sound film - he has a sound recordist with him along with the bulky and awkward recording equipment typical for the era, and they discuss the problems of recording dialogue on board. But not once do we see him filming with sound. We see the crew recording dialogue - synchronised sound, recorded on location, which is utterly impossible given the equipment they have and the circumstances under which the fim is being shot. We never see a microphone, a boom pole or a tape recorder. His camera isn't even 'blimped' - soundproofed - and it's handcranked, which makes a racket. They can't be planning on adding the sound later - why have the sound recordist and his bulky and heavy equipment there with them if they are? We see the crew recording dialogue - synchronised sound, recorded on location, which is utterly impossible given the equipment they have and the circumstances under which the fim is being shot. The whole point of post dubbing dialogue is that you don't need a sound recordist in the first place.

Visible crew/equipment: At the party towards the end, Sherman leaves and Carla comes after him. As she runs toward him, the battery pack slides down her leg.

Continuity mistake: When they are driving to the hotel both the limos have tinted glass, but when they arrive at the hotel John Cusack's limo no longer has tinted glass - we clearly see him inside the car, although the camera's outside.

Revealing mistake: When Will Scarlet finds the injured Much in Sherwood Forest about three quarters of the way through the movie, a white vehicle can be seen travelling from right to left in the background. (01:27:40)
Suggested correction: No car, just light on the hilt of Scarlett's sword.
I verified the scene. It's definitely not from the light of Scarlett's sword. It occurs after Will gets off his horse and the horse is turning. To the right of the horse is a tree in the background. To the right of that is a small clearing, about level with the horse's mouth. For a fraction of a second you can see a white object go across the small clearing in the same manner as a white car driving by.

Factual error: In the scene where Admiral Kimmel is inspecting the crew of the battleship an aide comes up with a message to send some ships to the Atlantic. Admiral Kimmel starts complaining about the orders. No Admiral would ever do this especially in front of enlisted men. In fact he was placed in charge of the Pacific fleet when his predecessor complained about moving the fleet from San Diego to Pearl Harbor.

Continuity mistake: During the interview, while sitting, his striped pants are unzipped for a few cuts, then they are zipped in later shots.

Continuity mistake: Towards the end when Debbie and Danny get into a fight around 5am at their apartment, Debbie packs some things and goes over to Joan's apartment to mull it over with her. While they're talking with Joan in her robe, Joan's hair goes from being up in a hairband (not even visible out of the hairband) to her hair being down and styled with no hairband at all and then back to up to not visible in the hairband again.

Factual error: The poem Isolde recites, John Donne's "The Good-Morrow", is a 17th-century work, which is centuries later than the movie's time period.

Continuity mistake: When Dr. Dolittle is giving CPR to the bear, the bear is completely dry. If you just rescued something from the water, it should be wet. (00:35:30)

Character mistake: When Melanie and Scarlett are talking with an (off-screen) wounded Confederate soldier, the soldier says he hasn't heard from his brother since Bull Run. Only Northerners refer to that battle as Bull Run; Southerners have always referred to it as Manassas.

Continuity mistake: The morning after Vivian's first night at the hotel, room service brings breakfast. When she's eating a croissant it cuts to a shot of Edward, and when it cuts back to Vivian she's eating a pancake which goes from being half done, to being a whole pancake again. (00:30:55)
Suggested correction: The tech is supposed to be highly advanced. This is at least kept consistent throughout the film as all communication between planets is in real time.
DetectiveGadget85
There is no tech that can alter the laws of physics that we know of. The near future setting of the film limits the scope of what's feasible.
