Visible crew/equipment: After Josh tells Cher she's such a brat, at the start of the next shot which is the first close-up of Cher during the driver's test, just as she says, "I had an overwhelming sense of ickiness, even though I apologized to Lucy," the top of a crewmember's head, with his short wavy hair blowing in the wind, is reflected at the bottom of the Jeep's windshield, directly in front of Cher and the steering wheel. Revealing mistake: On Billy's first day of school when he is outside waiting for the bus and it just passes him you hear the noise of kids on a bus, but when it passes no one is in it.
Other mistake: In the scene where Robin Williams tells Sarah that she needs a 12 to win, she rolls a 3. The next time she rolls, Robin tells her she needs a 7 to win.
Continuity mistake: Hester's estrange husband mistakenly kills a man at the end, and you see him cut his hair and his scalp off, then later when people find his body (after his suicide) his hair and scalp are intact. Then later you see him with the hair and scalp in his hands again.
Continuity mistake: In the first movie, the wedding took place on January 6th. But in the opening sequence here the framed wedding invitation says October.
Revealing mistake: A horse gallops through a field and you can see a telephone pole.
Factual error: If you take the train from Paris to Cannes you won't pass the Eiffel tower.
Continuity mistake: Moving out to Sera, Ben is packing his things in a motel. You can see a half full glass standing on a bed table on his left. In the next shot Ben is pouring alcohol to an EMPTY glass filling it in 1/3 approx. In the next scene glass is half full again and in the next one - FULL. Eventually he is drinking from a glass full of alcohol.
Other mistake: Whenever Helen Hyde turns back into Richard Jacks, none of the clothes ever seems to rip or stretch - they both have different body types.
Continuity mistake: At Thanksgiving dinner when the turkey is spilled on her head. In one scene she is wet. The next scene she is dry again and then the next scene she is wet again.
Continuity mistake: Jack Lemmon puts the cat in Walter's truck. We see a close up of the cat's paws scratching holes in the car seat. A long shot shows the cat picking at the seat again, but there are no holes in the seat anymore.
Continuity mistake: At the time they were all little kids, the veteran from the war (Brendan Fraser) gave them cigarettes. When the girls were leaving, Teeny took one last puff and stopped it out, in the next shot she throws down the cigarette again and steps on it. (00:45:20)
Continuity mistake: When they are arguing in his bedroom, her scarf and coat are closed at one point, then open, then closed.
Plot hole: When Morgan and her Slave/New Boyfriend are escaping from the burning ship, which is going to explode any second, they emerge onto the deck, run up a flight of stairs, cross the deck to the stern rail, look about themselves, then dive overboard. They know the ship is about to explode and are desperate to get overboard. The railings are about a metre away from the hatch they emerge from in the first place - why not just jump overboard there?
Other mistake: The Magic Eye Picture that Willem is looking at throughout the movie is NOT a sailboat. If you pause the movie and find the image it's actually three rows of 3D shapes.
Continuity mistake: When Gloria is confronting her "baby's daddy", her earrings keep disappearing and reappearing.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, when Ethan Hawke is talking about his travels while in the lounge car ("I had a friend in Madrid"), he's got his hands clasped in front of him, then the camera cuts to the woman, and his hand is outstretched, holding a salt cellar.
Continuity mistake: When Lucy and Jack are walking along the river, a long shot shows them approaching a lamppost with a kissing couple. In the next shot, they pass the lamppost but there is no one there. They finally pass the couple at the next lamppost. (00:46:55)
Suggested correction: The couple is there. They are walking one lamppost before the couple in the long shot, and they are walking very slowly. In the close-up, it shows them just passing the lamppost before the couple. When they do pass the next lamppost, the couple is there as they were in the long shot.
Continuity mistake: Anne Elliot enters the home of a friend, Mrs. Smith, in a pink dress, and exits it wearing an off-white dress with a shawl.
Continuity mistake: During the scene in which Bart, Art's "brother" takes Darryl Hannah out to dinner, watch the water glass by her. You'll see it's full. When they switch camera angles notice that the glass becomes empty, half full, full again, then it fills with wine, then half full of wine, then back to water.
