The Black Island: Part 1 - S1-E10
Continuity mistake: Mueller's assistant gets hit on the head with a bag of counterfeit bank notes. Mueller then walks over to the assistant and ends up stepping on a rake, smacking himself in the face with it. In the wide shot that shows Mueller walking over to the assistant, we can notice the direction between Mueller and the rake would have had Mueller step on the edge of the rake. As it cuts to the close-up of Mueller's foot stepping on the rake, he is now shown stepping on the middle of the rake. (00:20:35)
The Black Island: Part 1 - S1-E10
Audio problem: After Mueller's assistant gets knocked out by stepping on a rake, Tintin looks at Mueller and says "That was close". Look at his mouth when he says this. His mouth opens but as he says the line, his mouth doesn't continue to move along with the line. (00:20:40)
The Black Island: Part 1 - S1-E10
Audio problem: Tintin is shown tying Mueller and his partner in crime to a tree with a cable. After he finishes saying "This old cable should hold you for now", we can see his mouth move as if he is speaking before he goes onto the next sentence even though he isn't actually saying anything. (00:20:45)
The Black Island: Part 1 - S1-E10
Continuity mistake: When Tintin finds the counterfeit bank notes, there are blue bands wrapped around the notes. The bands become white when Tintin says "And it's counterfeit". (00:21:00)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Audio problem: The first shot after the "previously" shows the burned down club. A further two shots after this shows Snowy growling at Mueller and his partner in crime. His mouth never moves when he does this. A growl like that would require his mouth to open at least a good few inches. (00:25:25)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: When Tintin first realizes the villains are escaping as they ascend from a corner of the club in their car, the part of the ground Tintin currently stands on is a clear white color. The ground Tintin stands on becomes a beige color as Tintin jumps out of the car's way. (00:26:05)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: In the shot where the villains first exit the club's gates, the background on their number plate is yellow. After the holiday man says "Up in the trailer", the shot cuts back to the villain's car with a number plate that has a black background. (00:26:15 - 00:26:50)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: After the trailer crashes into the pond, Tintin falls into the pond and gets out of the pond. When he gets out, he is totally spotless despite just being in water. (00:27:35)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Audio problem: When Tintin finds the villains' crashed car, someone nearby says "I saw them dash off". His mouth is out-of-sync when he says "off". (00:27:50)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Audio problem: Thomson and Thompson go "Stop, Tintin. Stop" after noticing Tintin on a plane. Their lips never move during their lines. (00:31:05)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Revealing mistake: Thomson and Thompson commandeer a plane. When the plane exits the screen in the shot where one of them says "Go up, go up", there are some sort of grey smudge marks on the screen that shouldn't be there. (00:31:25)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Revealing mistake: The mechanic the detectives presume to be a pilot says "This is my first flight". Thomson and Thompson turn their heads to each other whilst the mechanic speaks. Note how they have a black color in their eyes, but when they finish turning their heads, the color in the eyes of the detective on the left disappears for three frames, which reappears as soon as they turn their heads to the ground. (00:31:40)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Plot hole: How did Tintin know the plane on the news was Mueller's plane? The broadcast was in black and white which meant the plane could have been any color. (00:33:45)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: Tintin first has dark grey socks when he arrives at the Irish village. A few scenes later on The Black Island, when Tintin begins to run away from the huge gorilla on the tower roof, he now has white/light grey socks. (00:34:00 - 00:37:30)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: When Tintin first enters the roof of the tower, there are no twigs on any of the stones anywhere on the tower. Yet by the time Tintin says "Hold on, Snowy", there are now twigs over one of the stones that was clear before. (00:36:45 - 00:37:25)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: On the tower roof, the gorilla makes a roar that causes Tintin's hat to fall off the tower and into the sea (or rocks around the island). Tintin and Snowy run down a flight of stairs and the gorilla follows them. When the gorilla reaches the bottom of the stairs, he is wearing Tintin's hat. There wouldn't have been anywhere for him to get the hat since it would be in the sea or rocks by that time. (00:37:15 - 00:38:10)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: After Mueller is untied, he opens his drawer and takes out a gun that is blue. Shot cuts and he then cocks a gun that is now grey. (00:41:20)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: The old Irish man has white pale skin. In the shot after the gorilla shows himself to the public, the old Irish man instantly has brown skin. (00:43:10)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: An old Irish guy has a teal jumper whilst a middle age Irish guy is talking to a reporter. In the next shot, that man now has a blue jumper. (00:43:10)
The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: Two Irish people talk to a reporter after the three villains get arrested. The older guy's hat changes color between shots. (00:43:10)
Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
