The Black Island: Part 1 - S1-E10

Continuity mistake: Mueller's assistant gets hit on the head with a bag of counterfeit bank notes. Mueller then walks over to the assistant and ends up stepping on a rake, smacking himself in the face with it. In the wide shot that shows Mueller walking over to the assistant, we can notice the direction between Mueller and the rake would have had Mueller step on the edge of the rake. As it cuts to the close-up of Mueller's foot stepping on the rake, he is now shown stepping on the middle of the rake. (00:20:35)

The Black Island: Part 1 - S1-E10

Audio problem: After Mueller's assistant gets knocked out by stepping on a rake, Tintin looks at Mueller and says "That was close". Look at his mouth when he says this. His mouth opens but as he says the line, his mouth doesn't continue to move along with the line. (00:20:40)

The Black Island: Part 1 - S1-E10

Audio problem: Tintin is shown tying Mueller and his partner in crime to a tree with a cable. After he finishes saying "This old cable should hold you for now", we can see his mouth move as if he is speaking before he goes onto the next sentence even though he isn't actually saying anything. The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11

Audio problem: The first shot after the "previously" shows the burned down club. A further two shots after this shows Snowy growling at Mueller and his partner in crime. His mouth never moves when he does this. A growl like that would require his mouth to open at least a good few inches. (00:25:25)

The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11

Continuity mistake: When Tintin first realizes the villains are escaping as they ascend from a corner of the club in their car, the part of the ground Tintin currently stands on is a clear white color. The ground Tintin stands on becomes a beige color as Tintin jumps out of the car's way. (00:26:05)

The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11

Continuity mistake: In the shot where the villains first exit the club's gates, the background on their number plate is yellow. After the holiday man says "Up in the trailer", the shot cuts back to the villain's car with a number plate that has a black background. (00:26:15 - 00:26:50)

The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11

Revealing mistake: The mechanic the detectives presume to be a pilot says "This is my first flight". Thomson and Thompson turn their heads to each other whilst the mechanic speaks. Note how they have a black color in their eyes, but when they finish turning their heads, the color in the eyes of the detective on the left disappears for three frames, which reappears as soon as they turn their heads to the ground. The Black Island: Part 2 - S1-E11

Continuity mistake: On the tower roof, the gorilla makes a roar that causes Tintin's hat to fall off the tower and into the sea (or rocks around the island). Tintin and Snowy run down a flight of stairs and the gorilla follows them. When the gorilla reaches the bottom of the stairs, he is wearing Tintin's hat. There wouldn't have been anywhere for him to get the hat since it would be in the sea or rocks by that time. (00:37:15 - 00:38:10)

King Ottokar's Sceptre: Part 2 - S2-E5

Question: When Tintin and the King discover King Ottokar's scepter had been stolen, both Hector and the guards are shown to have been knocked out. Later, Tintin points out that Hector had stolen the scepter by placing it in a camera, put it next to the window and shot it out of the window using the camera. If that's how Hector managed to get the scepter out of the building, then what was it that caused Hector and the guards to get knocked out? (00:33:10 - 00:35:50)

Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
