The Spoils of War - S7-E4

Continuity mistake: In order to save him from Drogon's fire at the very end of the episode Jaime is thrust by Bronn into water about 40 feet deep. This shouldn't have been possible especially after Jamie is shown galloping on his horse along the watery beach side just moments before.

Suggested correction: As shown in the following episode, the undercurrents had carried them some distance down-river.

An undercurrent may explain how they eventually got to the other side of the lake but not why the water on the shore became so deep so quickly.

Winterfell - S8-E1

Visible crew/equipment: After Sansa tells young Ned Umber to hurry back to Last Hearth and bring his people to Winterfell, when Jon tells Maester Wolkan to send ravens to the Night's Watch, in the next shot of Wolkan the chalk T-mark can be seen on the stone floor in front of his feet (it's not the stone's edges or cracks). A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - S8-E2

Continuity mistake: During the battle strategy meeting around the table, Sansa wears the long silver chain and circle neckwear, and the long chain changes the way it is placed through the circle. Sansa's chain is put through the circle in a way that's over and under in most shots, but when Jon explains that if the dragons are in the field they won't be able to protect Bran, the long chain is put through the circle the opposite way, under and over. The Long Night - S8-E3

Continuity mistake: When Arya stabs the Night King it's high on his chest, piercing his leather armor. In the next wide shot, the dagger is lower and not in the armor.

The Last Of The Starks - S8-E4

Other mistake: During the scene in the banquet hall, as Tormund says "most people get bloody murdered, they stay that way", look at Daenerys in the background - a disposable coffee cup is on the table in front of her. This brown cup with a white plastic lid is nothing remotely like the style of cups they're all drinking from in the scene. HBO acknowledged the slip up and digitally edited it out on streaming services, reruns and future DVD releases.

The Last Of The Starks - S8-E4

Character mistake: Gendry gets declared as Lord Gendry Baratheon of Storm's End by Daenerys. But he refers to himself as Gendry Rivers - the surname given to bastards from the Riverlands. Gendry comes from King's Landing, and bastards from there are called Waters, not Rivers. Given that Gendry is not an acknowledged highborn bastard, he should never have had a surname in the first place.

The Last Of The Starks - S8-E4

Other mistake: The dragon is shot down by three giant arrows, and everyone looks shocked, with no idea where the attack came from, even Daenerys, who's flying high alongside it. Then the enemy fleet rounds a small outcrop, revealing themselves as the attackers, but given her height she would have seen them a mile off and steered well clear.

Suggested correction: That is correct, however there is actually a reason for this, it was just never adapted from the books. Stains burned the woods during battle of the black water as an offering to the lord of light.

That doesn't remove the hills though.

The Bells - S8-E5

Deliberate mistake: During the "previously on Game of Thrones" snippets, before the opening credits sequence, there are two flipped shots of Sansa and Jaime as she tells him that she has always wanted to be there for Cersei's execution, but she won't get the chance. (00:01:45)

Super Grover

The Iron Throne - S8-E6

Continuity mistake: When Grey Worm leads Tyrion to the Dragonpit, as they pass the column of Unsullied their long individual shadows are directly to their sides, but in the next shot the Unsullied are seen in the background and the shadows are entirely different. (00:46:00)

The Iron Throne - S8-E6

Continuity mistake: During the meeting at the Dragonpit, Sansa is wearing her long silver chain and circle neckwear, with the long chain changing the way it is placed through the circle. First the chain is put through the circle in a way that's over and under, but in some shots the chain is put through the circle the opposite way, under and over. (00:53:10)

The Iron Throne - S8-E6

Visible crew/equipment: When Bran joins Tyrion and the others at the small council meeting, Bran begins by saying that they appear to be missing a Master of Whisperers, then just as he says, "And a Master of Laws," the boom mic can be seen dipping into view over Bran, at the top of the screen (visible on Hulu). The Iron Throne - S8-E6

Continuity mistake: When the episode starts Arya is walking towards where Daenerys is and has her face covered in mud and soot, plus a long streak of dark dry blood running through the right side of her face. The next time we see her her face is cleaner and the blood is less noticeable. In further shots the amount of blood increases or decreases randomly. There doesn't seem to be much water and soap around the place.

Sacha

The Iron Throne - S8-E6

Continuity mistake: When Daenerys is dead she has blood underneath her back and hair, and as the camera is above her, her right arm is curved or bent a little. When Drogon picks her up her arm is now straight and despite the blood on the ground she seems to be completely clean. No blood on her back, hair or scarf. Then as Drogon flies away, how on earth did he pick her up with his left hind leg? Did he twist his leg 180° to pick her up with his front claw?

Mhysa - S3-E10

Joffrey: I am the king! I will punish you.
Tywin: Any man who must say "I am the king" is no true king.

A Golden Crown - S1-E6

Trivia: The horse heart that Daenerys eats was actually made of gelatin, and genuinely tasted dreadful - her physical revulsion at eating it is real. It had dyed pasta to simulate veins, and was injected with fake sugary blood, which attracted flies. The blood was so sticky and ended up covering Emilia Clarke to such an extent that after filming it glued her to the toilet seat.

Season 1 generally

Question: Why is Khal Drogo willing to give Viserys an army in exchange for Daenerys? Until she is almost poisoned, he seems to have no real interest in The Iron Throne or the Targaryen dynasty, considering how she has to beg him to cross the Narrow Sea. Why didn't he just marry a native Dothraki woman?

Answer: This is explained more in the book. Khal Drogo and his bloodriders do intend to help Viserys take the throne, however they do things in their own time. This is what causes Viserys's frustration. In the book, Illyrio Mopatis tells Viserys that he has already waited his entire life to claim The Iron Throne and that waiting a few more years isn't that big of a deal. The Dothraki are a nomadic tribe, which is largely why they have no interest in invading and sacking King's Landing. However, since Khal Drogo eventually grows to love Dany, her assassination attempt by the Westerosi compels him to seek revenge.
