IQuit iCarly - S3-E8

Continuity mistake: Carly, Sam, Fleck and Dave are sitting at one table at the Groovy Smoothy sipping a new smoothy flavor with T-Bo standing next to them. Suddenly the smoothy gets too spicy so all four go to another table and gulp down other people's waters then sit back down. The waiter places two glasses in front of Dave and Fleck. The waiter starts to pass behind T-Bo with 2 more glasses of water, but the shot immediately cuts to Sam and Carly drinking water.

IPsycho - S3-E17

Continuity mistake: After Gibby is kicked into the stack of boxes, he slumps to the floor and a large sleeping bag or pillow appears beside him only to disappear in the following scene. Then when he takes off his shirt, a yellow extension cord appears on top of the boxes.

IThink They Kissed - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: When Freddie wrestles Carly to the floor, there are three shots of her lying on the floor as they argue. The first two show her head in the same spot on the floor; the third shows her head in an entirely different spot (look at the floorboards).

IFix a Pop Star - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: When Ginger Fox and her manager are in her room, Ginger squats down to tell her rabbit to roll over. Her bra strap has slipped off her shoulder. When the camera pans out, her bra strap is up. The camera zooms back in to her face, and her bra strap is down again.

IFight Shelby Marx - S2-E20

Other mistake: At the beginning, when everyone is watching Shelby fighting on TV, the timer is going too slow. According to the timer, the fight ends at 2:53, which is only 7 seconds of fighting, yet the fight was way longer than that.

Trivia: When Carly and the team are facing the professional Chef, Carly says, "Add the Peruvian Puff Peppers." This pepper is also mentioned in "Drake and Josh", but in "Drake and Josh" it was illegal in the United States.

Show generally

Question: I need someone from across the pond to help settle an argument between me and my wife. In the episode "i Rock the Vote", Wade Collins repeatedly uses the term "hob knocker." My kids asked, "What's a 'hob knocker'?" I said that it was something they made up that sounds somewhat British, probably insulting, and possibly vulgar. My wife insists that she has heard it somewhere else. So, for the record, what, if anything, does "hob knocker" mean?

Answer: In direction translation it means 'Mischievous Spirit'. 'Hob' as in HobGoblin means clown or prankster, and 'Knocker' was an old age term for Poltergeists in mines. Miners would often complain of hearing knocking sounds down mines when there was no-one else down there, hence 'Knocker'. It's not a regular English expression though.
