Emergency!

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to 'the man down' at the hotel, Roy gets into the squad fully dressed (he was talking to Chet) and wearing his blue uniform shirt, but when they're in the apartment his shirt is gone and he's only wearing an undershirt under his jacket, though Johnny is wearing his uniform shirt.

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: When the woman from the car accident is in the ER, and goes into V-fib, Brackett, Morton, Roy and Johnny work on her. Johnny does chest compressions and they defib three times, then Morton takes over the chest compressions, but when Brackett is about to defib the fourth time we see Johnny's arms stopping the compressions, when in fact it was Morton doing them at that time.

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny are on their lines attempting to rescue the unconscious game show contestant wannabe, before they're able to get the pompier life belt around the man's waist, the belt falls to the ground and lands near the man's cape and broken balancing pole. However, when the ambulance attendants walk towards the building, in the overhead shot the life belt has vanished; only the cape and broken pole are lying on the ground.

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the 'man down', time out is 21:30, but when Johnny and Roy are at Mr. Jefferson's apartment, Johnny's watch reads 3:05. Back at the station, when Chet's sitting beside Johnny at the typewriter, Johnny's watch reads 5:15, but at Rampart it's after 2:00 when Mr. Jefferson has the bypass operation. When Station 51 is dispatched to the car accident, time out is 1:50, but when Johnny checks the woman's pupils, his watch reads 1:00, and when they're back at the station his watch reads 10:05, as Johnny tells Roy that the show is crazy.

Continuity mistake: When Dr. Early and Dr. Morton are in the treatment room with Mr. Jefferson, Morton's stethoscope is draped over his shoulder with the ear tubes at his back in the wide shots, but in the closeup the ear tubes are lying in front.

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny are in the apartment, just as Mr. Jefferson mentions that Shorty brought in hot tractors, it cuts to a closeup of Roy who is not wearing a stethoscope, but in the next shot the stethoscope is suddenly around Roy's neck.

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: When the woman from the car accident is in the ER, Brackett tells Morton to intubate her and Morton grabs the laryngoscope and slides her body down on the gurney to a proper position, but in the next shot from another angle Brackett orders the intubation again and the same things are repeated.

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: While the woman from the car accident is in the ER, when Brackett tells Morton to intubate her Morton has a penlight (to check pupillary response) in the pocket of his scrubs, but in the following shots that penlight keeps vanishing from his pocket and reappearing.

Continuity mistake: At the scene of the vehicle accident, once Vince wraps the gauze around the head of the driver of the pickup truck, the same bystanders are standing in two places at once - on the sidewalk beside Engine 51 and across the street beside Squad 51.

Super Grover

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the 'man trapped between two buildings', Roy is not wearing a watch when he and John head out on the lines between the buildings and also when they get back on the roof, but during the actual rescue while on the lines, both stunt guys are wearing watches on their wrists.

All Night Long - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to 'man down' at Hotel Potter, the address is given as 11876 Fishburn, between MacArthur and West 7th, but when the squad and engine are in front of the building, the corner street signs read Trenton and Parkview.

The Indirect Method - S5-E6

Factual error: When Roy is electrocuted and falls from the roof, after Karen uses the defibrillator paddles on Roy, she lifts both paddles, looks at the EKG monitor and says "He's converted." How exactly could Karen have known that he's converted? It's impossible for the EKG monitor to show anything at all. Either the defib paddles have to be in contact with Roy's body for the "quick-look" to get a reading, which they weren't, or the ECG electrode discs have to be on Roy's chest connecting him to the EKG monitor, and they weren't. As an aside, just watching Marco having problems attaching the air mask, and quickly glancing up towards the camera frustrated, then giving up is priceless.

Breakdown - S6-E15

Charlie: I think you guys are playing games with me, and I don't like it.
Roy: Now, wait a minute. We're not playing games. We don't play games with the equipment...
Captain Stanley: Wait, hold on. C'mon everybody, look we're all on the same side here, aren't we?
Charlie: I wonder.
Captain Stanley: Charlie, why can't we put the squad in the shop and have us a reserve vehicle here?
Charlie: No, no, Hank. Not until I'm 100% sure that I can't fix it. If there's anything wrong with it. This coffee stinks. [Leaves the room.]
Captain Stanley: You guys playing some kind of joke on him?
John: We didn't make the coffee!
Captain Stanley: Not the coffee, you twit, the squad.
Roy: Cap, there's something wrong with that squad out there.
Captain Stanley: [sigh.] All right, if you say so... I made the coffee.

The Mouse - S4-E20

Question: The old man that comes in with his wife that can't breathe, the one that the head nurse tries to counsel and tempts him with a cup of coffee. I believe he is Alfred Hitchcock, though his name is not listed anywhere. Alfred Hitchcock is known for his cameo appearances in his own shows and in other shows. Can someone confirm that this is him? This is driving me nuts... It is toward the end of the episode, but I cannot give you times.

Answer: I believe you are speaking of the old man, Mr. Wilson. He's played by J. Pat O'Malley.

Bishop73

Correct, it was J. Pat O'Malley...he also played the grandfather with his grandson when their rocket exploded, and also played "Old Bill" in the episode with Ann Prentiss, where Gage saves the little girl from the burning tree house, and her mother falls in love with him.
