Factual error: When Sam and Dean show up at the crime scene to investigate, they are stopped by a woman wearing digital Army ACU's. She introduces herself as Sergeant Miranda Bates, even though she has rank insignia on her cover and her chest that identifies her as a PFC (private first class). (00:14:05)
Factual error: In the opening, H.P. Lovecraft is calming his nerves with alcohol. In real life, Lovecraft was a complete teetotaler, who even wrote stories about the evils of liquor.
Factual error: When Sam and Dean are showing Jo pictures of H. H. Holmes' victims, the last picture was a victim that was not his. The final black and white is Jack the Ripper's third victim, Elisabeth "Long Liz" Stride.
The Benders - S1-E15
Factual error: Officer Kathleen looks for Sam's data in her database. The record ID is DF-23094. She then follows the link to Dean's record. Its record ID is also DF-23094. A database cannot have two records with the same ID.
Celebrating the Life of Asa Fox - S12-E6
Factual error: At the beginning of the episode it shows it taking place at Emerson Manitoba in 1980. After Mary saves the boy, Asa Fox, she drives him home. Sitting in the driveway is a Maroon GMC Sonoma circa 1994 - 2004. (00:01:45 - 00:02:30)
Factual error: When Bela shoots at who she thinks is Dean and Sam in bed, it's really blow up dolls. But they don't start deflating until she pulls the covers off them.
Factual error: At the beginning of the episode it is stated that we are in the month of April - yet in the orchard there are ladders, fallen apples and baskets filled with fresh fruit everywhere, as if it were harvest time. The god is declared to grant fertility and not climate change, so the harvest decoration seems definitely out of season.
Factual error: When the doctor says that the dead man has a high lymphocyte percentage indicating a viral infection after she looks down the microscope: 1) What they show in the microscope looks nothing like what is actually visible down a light microscope (especially the supposed lymphocytes) and 2) Even if she could see what they showed, it wouldn't actually indicate that the infection was viral.
All Hell Breaks Loose: Part 1 - S2-E21
Factual error: Dean finds a body in the house that burned down. The arm has a metal watch still on the wrist with hardly any damage. It has some black soot on it but that's it.
Suggested correction: Your entry is based on opinion/theory only. It's possible for someone who died in a fire to have parts of their body to not be affected by the fire.
Factual error: At the beginning of this episode, it says "one week later", then it shows Dean and Sam go to the victim's apartment. The blood is still bright red. After a week it would be darker.

Simon Said - S2-E5
Factual error: The man gets hit hard enough by the bus to knock his shoe clear off, yet when we see his body about to be covered up, there's only a small amount of blood on his mouth. If you get hit by a bus hard enough to make your shoe fly off, then there should have been more damage.
