Continuity mistake: When Jack speaks to Michael and Jin, as they build the raft, and then when he walks up the beach and inquires about Sawyer's trouble with his head, the backpack that Jack carries on his back is nylon, black/green with white trim. Yet, when Sawyer asks, "Sensitivity to light, that bad?" the backpack is suddenly transformed into solid black leather, of an entirely different style. Then, in following shots it jumps back and forth. (00:16:40)
Continuity mistake: When Boone tosses the statue out of the plane, in the close-up the entire statue shatters, and the heroine bags spill out as the head flies off to the side. But in the following shot, Locke picks up a large unbroken piece - the head and torso are intact with some bags still inside, and even that piece changes in the next shot. (00:32:50)
Continuity mistake: Boone throws a statue out of the plane on to the ground by Locke. When the statue smashes, it's in the middle of a small circle that is cleared of leaves and vegetation. However, when Locke picks up the pieces, the small circle of cleared ground is gone. (00:32:10)
Continuity mistake: When Boone looks through the window of the plane, his face/head is through the broken window from the inside, but a good distance away in the far shot. (00:30:10)
Continuity mistake: When Jack gives Sawyer the glasses, he walks off and Sawyer is looking up to Jack. When the shot changes, he is now looking down at the ground. (00:29:10)
Continuity mistake: Boone explains who Terresa was and he has a bag strap across his chest. (The strap is the same colour as his shirt but is distinguishable by the lack of wrinkles in his shirt.) During camera changes, this bag strap disappears without him removing it. (00:25:00)
Continuity mistake: When telling Boone about being in a wheelchair on the flight, John is leaning against a tree with his backpack off. The shot changes and now his backpack is back on. (00:23:10)
