The Joker's Hard Times (2) - S2-E38

Continuity mistake: After Joker enters Commissioner Gordon's office, Gordon and Chief O'Hara walk over to the window, and the Batphone table is behind them, beside Gordon's desk. Then Joker makes two "quick-frozen cops" and runs off to snatch Justice, leaving Gordon and O'Hara immobile. When their shock paralysis wears off, Gordon and O'Hara rush over to Gordon's desk, but the Batphone table and the Batphone have vanished (note the rug's pattern). (00:03:00 - 00:04:55)

The Joker's Hard Times (2) - S2-E38

Continuity mistake: The Batmobile pulls up in front of the Platter-Porium, and you can see that only Batman and Robin are inside the car. When the shot cuts to close-up, though, Venus is sitting in between them. (Tight squeeze: it's a 2-seater and she must be straddling the transmission hump and hand brake - ouch.) The shot cuts back to full for them to jump from the car, and Venus has disappeared again. (00:13:40)

Suggested correction: We do see Venus in all three shots. When the Batmobile pulls up in front of Platter-Porium, in the first wide shot we see blonde hair between Batman and Robin. Then after the closeup, in the second wide shot (same angle as the first) when Batman and Robin have exited the car, we see Venus turn and poke her head out of the Batmobile, on Robin's side of the car. Also, in the closeup when Batman opens the door, we see Venus is sharing the passenger seat with Robin, directly beside the transmission hump and hand brake, so no ouch for her. Venus does the same thing in the next episode, when she's brought to the Batcave.

The Joker's Hard Times (2) - S2-E38

Continuity mistake: When the Joker directs Gordon and O'Hara to look at the statue of Justice, they look at it from a front view. But when Joker comes out of the Police building where he left them frozen, it's from behind the statue, rather than in front.

Penguin Sets a Trend (2) - S2-E43

Continuity mistake: Penguin's van races by a Gotham City movie theater, passing three cars parked in front of it. In the very next shot, the Batmobile zips past the same spot in hot pursuit - and there are now four cars parked there. (00:20:20)

A Riddling Controversy (2) - S2-E46

Continuity mistake: When Riddler and his baddies are at their factory hideout watching the news of their criminal coup on TV, in shots facing the TV the two rabbit ear antenna are fully retracted, but in shots from behind the TV the antenna are extended by approximately a foot. Later, there's a similar occurrence with the TV antenna, while Batman and Robin use the Batrope to climb the wall. (00:03:20)

Batman's Satisfaction (2) - S2-E52

Continuity mistake: After Britt Reid tells Bruce he wouldn't be caught dead in Batman's crazy cowl, when it cuts to the Batcave both Robin and Batman use the Bat-computer to decipher the message in the alphabet noodle soup. The Yellow Pages phone book is on the computer's shelf beside Robin, and in his closeups the phone book's spine faces toward the right, but in the wide shots the phone book faces the opposite way. Pop Goes the Joker (1) - S2-E57

Continuity mistake: After Oliver Muzzy congratulates Joker for his magnificent artwork and makes a deal with him, before Joker leaves the gallery he runs his finger across Batman's yellow emblem to sign his red artwork, but at GCPD HQ when they're discussing the matter, Joker's signature is completely different, it's now a capital "J" on Batman's yellow emblem. Ring Around the Riddler - S3-E2

Continuity mistake: When Batgirl finds Betsy with the huge magnet under the boxing ring Batgirl throws the rope around the lever, then as the rope pulls the lever down the rope slips off and falls, but in the next shot the rope is still up around the lever. (00:21:25)

The Unkindest Tut of All - S3-E6

Continuity mistake: When the Batmobile pulls up to the theater where Tut's henchmen are emerging, Batman challenges them while standing at the open driver's side door. You can see his left hand closing the door, as well as hear it click shut - but in the next, reverse angle shot, as he and Robin leap into the fray, the car door is standing wide open again. Batman trivia picture

Trivia: The 1966 T.V. Batmobile was created from a decade-old "concept show car" designed and built in 1955 by Ford's Lincoln Division. It was called the Lincoln Futura, and was originally a pearlescent pale green. After several years on the car show rounds (and an appearance in one movie, repainted red), it was sold for $1 to George Barris who stored it outdoors for 6 years. When FOX called looking for Barris to build a car for the show, they gave him 3 weeks, so he grabbed this already-weird looking car he had out back, sketched a few changes and passed the physical work to Bill Cushenberry. It was finished on time and the rest is history.

Answer: There were three well-known actors who played Mr. Freeze, each one a different height, weight, and physique. As these were notable guest stars, the costume designers would adapt the costume to best fit each actor who likely would want to avoid comparisons to the other Mr. Freezes, incorporate their preferences, as well as refresh the look, rework whatever didn't work in previous versions, and so on.
