Continuity mistake: When Fran and Maxwell are in the office, Max sits down at the desk and rests his hands on the desk in front of him. When the shot changes, he is resting on his arm and writing with his other hand.
Continuity mistake: In the kitchen at the beginning, Fran pours milk into three glasses. After she fills the third glass, she starts to put the milk down. In the next shot, she is holding the bottle up to the glass again and pours some more milk before putting the bottle down.
Revealing mistake: When Fran and Maxwell are changing the baby's diaper in the kitchen, the baby "pees", but the pee shoots from the baby's chest.
Continuity mistake: In the first office scene, when Fran picks up Allan Beck's resume and pages through it she is holding the pages in the middle. When the shot changes to Maxwell and he says "Yes, but I'm still flammable", watch Fran's hands in the corner of the screen. She's holding the pages by the corner.

Factual error: In the last scene, Fran has a soda cup from In-N-Out, which at the time, of the show, only had one restaurant out of the state of California, in the state of Nevada. Even today (2020), they don't have any stores east of Texas.
Continuity mistake: In the final scene in the lounge, there is a plaster bust on the hall table that appears and re-appears between shots.

Factual error: When Fran is on Jeopardy, she gets a Daily Double question and wagers $1,000 dollars. When she answers the Daily Double question though, she buzzes in first and Alex calls on her to answer. Fran would not have needed to buzz in since the Daily Double can only be played by one person.

Other mistake: Fran and Maxwell come out of the dining room and go into the living room. They come out of the door that normally leads to Maxwell 's office.
Character mistake: While driving in a taxi, Fran says McDLT was discontinued in 1994, but in fact it was three years earlier in 1991.
Continuity mistake: In this episode, Fran says she is getting married in 19 hours but in the wedding part 2, she is getting married in 24 hrs.
Continuity mistake: Between 15-20 minutes into the show, Fran and her mom are talking in the kitchen. There's a box of Wheat Toasties on the counter. The top flap goes back and forth between folded up and folded down depending on the shot.

Continuity mistake: Just before Fran opens the door for her date, her handbag switches hands between shots when she says, "It's cuter on me."
Continuity mistake: In the first gym scene, The Gym Teacher has a blue gym bag in her hands when she talks to Fran's face. When the shot changes and The Gym Teacher walks away the bag is suddenly over her shoulder.
Factual error: Fran is dating a hockey player who plays for the New York Rangers by the name of Michael LaVoe. He wears the number 7. The number 7 is retired by the NY Rangers, it was worn by Rod Gilbert.
Answer: Mr. Sheffield needed someone to manage the kids, not necessarily babysit them. Brighton was a Bart Simpson type, Maggie was shy and awkward and Gracie had personality issues.
