Continuity mistake: In the first episode Xena calls her horse Argo a boy, then later in the series he becomes a she.
Continuity mistake: In the episode 'The Xena Scrolls,' the chakram that is buried in Ares' tomb is the chakram from the first four seasons. However, as the chakram is neutralised in the episode 'Chakram' and is given back to the cloned Xena in the episode 'The Clones', how could the chakram be neutralised before Xena dies, be separated in the 1940s when they discover the Chakram in Ares' tomb and then be neutralised in the episode with the clones?
Continuity mistake: Xena leaves Darius' house, where she forgets her chakram. Then there's a shot of her riding Argo, with the chakram attached to her hip. Later Darius shows up to bring the 'missing' chakram to her.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the young woman is going to commit suicide, Xena shows her a necklace. In the wide shot Xena is showing the wood part. In the close up you see the emblem.
Beware Greeks Bearing Gifts - S1-E12
Continuity mistake: In the first battle, Xena throws the chakram and it lands in a guy's chest. We see her kick another warrior with her chakram on her belt. Then she runs and pulls it out of the 1st warrior. (00:07:35)
Continuity mistake: Xena's sword is partially out of the scabbard in the frontal shot yet fully in the scabbard in the over the shoulder shot. (00:01:20)
Continuity mistake: When Xena starts chasing down Callisto after the attempt on the Oracle's life she has her sword in the sheath on her back, as can be plainly seen when she jumps on Argo. A couple of seconds later, there are a few shots of her charging after Callisto without her sword, which comes back in the sheath once the chase gets in open field. (00:23:00)
Continuity mistake: When Xena and Callisto charge each other on horseback, Callisto cuts Xena's right arm. When Xena turns Argo around, the cut has switched to her left arm.
Continuity mistake: When Callisto and Xena first battle on horseback, Xena knocks Callisto's sword to the ground and Callisto escapes. When Callisto is training with Theodorus and the army at their hideout, her sword has reappeared, although she didn't pick it back up at the village.
Death Mask - S1-E23
Continuity mistake: When Xena and Toris are in the dungeon and the guards come in, Xena's boots change for a moment, then change back.
Continuity mistake: When the episode starts Xena and Gabrielle are talking in voiceovers. When they are shown from a distance, you can see Gabrielle wearing the outfit (long brown skirt and light blue shirt) that she wears at the beginning of season 1 (right after leaving with Xena and before being with the Amazons). She also isn't carrying her stick. The next scene in the temple she's wearing the green top and short brown skirt and also has her stick with her.
Continuity mistake: During the battle in Callisto's cave hideout, Callisto leaves her sword behind when she runs to her chariot. When Callisto sinks in the quicksand, her sword and dagger are not seen. When Xena encounters Callisto in the underworld in "Intimate Stranger", Callisto's sword and dagger have reappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Autolycus jumps out of the dagger vault, the door swings shut. In the rest of the scene, the doors are open.
Blind Faith - S2-E18
Continuity mistake: When Xena ties Palaemon to the board, the close ups show the rope going through his palms, and around his wrist. When he stands up, the rope is tied near his elbows. (00:08:10)
Continuity mistake: There is a shot on the ground of all of Xena and Draco's body armor that they've taken off while arm wrestling. Soon after, Xena gives Draco a rub down, and her arm bands are back on. (00:18:10 - 00:19:30)
Continuity mistake: While Xena is putting back on all her armor after her swim, her hair constantly changes. First it is under her right strap, then over, then behind her shoulder, then back over her strap again. (00:22:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Joxer is saying the "enemy of my enemy", when the view is on Joxer he has nothing in his hands, but when it is an over the shoulder shot you can see he is holding a horse shoe.
The Debt (2) - S3-E7
Continuity mistake: When Xena is thrown into the water dungeon, she talks to a man who was there when Loa ma was killed. In the flashback you see him in the background watching as Loa ma is proceeded in and he has short hair. Later in the episode, Xena is having the same thing happen. The same people are in the background including the man who is supposed to be in the dungeon with the shorter haircut.
The Quill Is Mightier - S3-E10
Continuity mistake: When Gabby is beating up the barbarians, the end of her staff is in the ground. There are two close up shots of her staff. The first has her staff in a hole, surrounded by dirt. The second shot shows her staff with no hole, and surrounded by straw, not dirt. (00:04:35)
The Quill Is Mightier - S3-E10
Continuity mistake: When Joxer lays down the scrolls on the table, they are rolled up with each side touching each other. A moment later, when there is a close up of the scroll, they are slightly unrolled, with the quill placed between them. There was no quill there a moment before. (00:23:35)
