Plot hole: Ares stops Xena from 'committing suicide' by sword on the beach after the chariot crash, before she drinks 'poison'. How did Xena know that Ares would stop her from 'killing herself,' thereby allowing her to drink the 'poison' when she obviously hadn't revealed any of her plan to him and she didn't believe that he was in love with her? Motherhood - S5-E22
Continuity mistake: When Athena falls on the ground after mortally wounded, she was not holding her wound. When her body was shown again, she is.
Continuity mistake: In the episode 'Coming Home', Marga says that Livia's army attacked them at night, yet in 'Path of Vengeance' when Varia is explaining to the Amazon Council about Eve's past, the raid is during the day.
The Haunting of Amphipolis - S6-E2
Revealing mistake: When Xena comes in and checks on Gabrielle, a possessed Gabrielle is hanging from the ceiling naked. In the long shot you can see her nude suit and the wires holding her up.
Other mistake: In Season 2 "Ten Little Warlords," Ares tells Xena that without a sitting God of War, peaceful people can't control their anger. Yet during the whole time in Season 6 that Ares is mortal, peaceful people can control their anger. Furthermore, in Season 6, Ares tells Xena that without the God of War the Goddess of Love becomes unbalanced. Yet in Season 2 there is no mention of this.
Revealing mistake: There is an Amazon ritual being performed where the character has to be cut on the arm, but you can see the blood on the knife before the blade touches her arm.
Continuity mistake: This episode is supposed to take place sometime back in the third season. Well in the third season Xena has her regular chakram, not the yin yang one. Yet when Joxer and Xena are talking in the forest you see the yin yang chakram on her belt.
Factual error: Akemi is Japanese, so the script she wrote for Xena should have used Japanese characters, however, the characters in the poem are Chinese.
