The Comfort of Friends - S6-E4
Continuity mistake: When Michaela enters the homestead after handing Katie off to Matthew, it immediately cuts to her in the master bedroom upstairs, pouring water into the bowl to splash on her face, as she suffers another pregnancy attack when she wouldn't have been able to manage climbing the stairs in her delicate condition.
Audio problem: The audio goes weird when Loren stands up to show the townsfolk the Travelin' All Stars sign during the meeting, from half-muted to full to half-muted again, like he's obviously wearing a body mic in the wrong spot instead of being under a boom.
Where the Heart Is (1) - S2-E6
Factual error: During the arrival at Beacon Hill, Colleen tells the girls during tea that the streets in Colorado Springs are all dirt, not the cobblestones as corrected by one of the girls (when Colleen referred to the Boston streets as rocks). When, in fact, several road scenes around Boston in several scenes are dirt or dried mud.
Factual error: Horace catches the ball during the first half of the final competition as Otis approaches 4th base/pitcher's mound, which outs him automatically yet Michaela nor the team call it.
Suggested correction: He was out. It was obvious that he was out when Quinn said he caught it. There would be no point in having to call him out. Otis is then seen telling his players to return to their bases because they could be tagged out. But he doesn't bother going anywhere because even he knew he was out. And we do see the players get called out.
For Better or Worse (2) - S3-E29
Other mistake: Cloud Dancing gives Sully his white Cheyenne tribal dress to wear as a wedding suit, but Sully pulls on a very different deerskin coat inside the barbershop.
Wave Goodbye - S6-E5
Plot hole: Dr. Mike and Daniel are discussing whether Princess Nizamoff is a fake or not, considering all the voices from the dead she performed during the séance. Yet Mike totally forgets that Mizamoff addressed her former medical professor in grave detail. Something the Princess would not have known otherwise.
Factual error: Near the end, when Horace is delivering Lincoln's Declaration speech, Mike and Sully are talking, you can see their breath. Indicating this was shot during the winter, when it's supposed to be July 4th Independence Day.
Plot hole: Worst writing of any episode. Mike is more than familiar (and associated) with public law and certain rights, given her position as a licensed physician, and the factor that she herself, and members of her extended family are lawyers or in knowledge. Yet Ethan is able to trip her up repeatedly during the course of this trial, incl. 'lack of proofs' etc. Whence Mike should have been able to rest her case without worry or thwart.
Plot hole: In any court case, as applies to this, an "objection" would be applied and sustained or overruled in parlance to Ethan's defamations of Mike. Yet is never once is it called by the judge or anyone appointed including Jake (which by his ignorance of the law perhaps applied).
Other mistake: Toward the end, when Mike is snuggling at the window with Sully, the candle on the wall near them isn't lit. But there is ominous light about them, obviously from the studio set.
Character mistake: Loren mistakenly calls each pitch at the batter's mound a strike, when that is when a pitch is out of batting mounds, or the batter misses. A ball is when the batter ignores the pitch or doesn't make a swing.
Suggested correction: A player doesn't have to swing for a pitch to be a strike. He called them correctly.
Well unless I've missed something over the years in baseball... and Loren's obvious confusion on what to call... when a batter remains stationary during a pitch, that is a standard all-out ball. When the batter moves or swings and misses the pitch, it is a strike.
His initial hesitation had nothing to do with it being a bad call. And yes, you've missed a lot over the years. A batter can move or even check swing and still the pitch could be called a ball. When a batter remains stationary, that doesn't change a strike into a ball just because he didn't swing or attempt to swing. The poem "Casey at the Bat" is all about him not swinging on the first two pitches, and they were both called strikes.
The Tempest - S5-E10
Other mistake: Smoke from the burning Thanksgiving dinner starts wafting from the stove just moments before a strong wind from a coming storm blasts through the window. Yet somehow Michaela doesn't notice the smell just moments before going outside with Katie.
Other mistake: When Sully's wrist gets scraped while moving the examining bed off the wagon, Dr. Mike merely dabs over it with some disinfectant, instead of thoroughly cleansing the wound with a wet cloth before suturing like a normal doctor.
Revealing mistake: Obvious lip liner on Michaela in the end scene.
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman - S1-E1
Other mistake: When Emily is in crisis labor Dr. Mike sedates her and does a C section delivery. But Emily periodically regains consciousness during and after. Never once reacting to any pain from the cutting, which seems unlikely.
When a Child is Born (2) - S4-E28
Other mistake: Not to sound rude, but Jane (Seymour) was literally pregnant, in labor when her water broke, but no visible staining on her gown or on the wagon seat when Sully pulls her up.
Factual error: In the later seasons (4-6) all the characters keep referring to their location as 'Colorado Springs' instead of just stating 'here'. Example: "I told him to stay in Colorado Springs" instead of just stating "I told him to stay HERE"
