Revealing mistake: Many shots show the trees and bushes in full bloom despite the fact it's Christmas. Most notable is the tree outside the pub window in Brent's second date and the bushes outside Brent's window when he's driving around in the daytime. Acknowledged in the DVD commentary.
Continuity mistake: After Gareth hits Tim on the head with his newspaper the following shot shows that the briefcase and newspaper have swapped hands. (00:04:25)
David Brent: If you want the rainbow you got to take the rain too. You know which "philosopher" said that? Dolly Parton. And people say she's just a big pair of tits.
Trivia: Gareth's friend Ogmonster is played by series co-creator, writer and director Stephen Merchant.
Question: In the extras from series one everyone finds Keith eating the scotch egg hilarious but I just don't understand the joke. Please help.

Answer: It's because he keeps doing it, like clockwork, on exactly the same line and he has such a blank, serious expression on his face that Tim (Martin Freeman) can't help but laugh.
