Dark Warrior - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: When the Rangers find Uncle Howard tied to the bombs, Howard asks "Did he tell you about the bomb?" then we see the clock counting down from 18 seconds. A few seconds later, Billy is being encouraged to deactivate the bomb. We get another view of the clock with Billy's hand trying to deactivate it, and the clock is counting down from 18 seconds again. (00:11:55)

Switching Places - S1-E16

Continuity mistake: When the Rangers first appear against Genie, he shoots rods at the rangers which stick in the ground, he then fires a string type substance at them. However the rods have disappeared. (00:11:40)

Suggested correction: This isn't a continuity mistake. The Triceratops forms the legs and are the wheels of the tank mode. That's the shot of the left leg of the tank mode's (i.e. the Triceratops) tracks rolling along the ground.

Green With Evil (1): Out of Control - S1-E17

Continuity mistake: Up until Green No More in Series 2 (where the Green Ranger powers are destroyed), the Green Ranger's overshield constantly changes between solid-looking metal to flimsy-looking cotton. This is the most obvious difference between the Japanese and US footage.

Green With Evil (2): Jason's Battle - S1-E18

Other mistake: In the scene where Tommy is proving himself to Goldar on the beach against the putties, Tommy stares down the last remaining putty and makes a charge towards him. In the wide shot of Tommy charging towards the putty, one of the "dead" putties on the ground lifts his head off the ground slightly, almost as if he is watching the action unfold. (00:09:05)

Suggested correction: They're not dead. They're incapacitated or in a great deal of pain.

Suggested correction: It's been shown on various occasions that the zords can be operated remotely.

DetectiveGadget85

Yes but to call upon the zords you need to have the power coin. The Rangers don't have the coin, therefore the Tyrannosaurus shouldn't be there.

Ssiscool

Zordon created the zord. I'm pretty sure he can summon and operate it without a power coin.

DetectiveGadget85

Zordon was disabled by brainwashed Tommy, so he couldn't have summoned it at this point.

No, the command centre is able to remotely control the zords.

Green With Evil (5): Breaking the Spell - S1-E21

Audio problem: The Megazord throws the Dragonzord into a nearby mountain. As the Dragonzord tries to get back onto its feet, Jason, from the cockpit of the Megazord, tells Tommy to "give it up." A man who sounds absolutely nothing like Tommy replies "No way."

The Trouble with Shellshock - S1-E22

Character mistake: About halfway through the episode, we see Billy, Zack and Kimberly are frozen because of Shell-shock. Towards the end when Jason and Tommy are in the Zords fighting Shell-shock, the Yellow Ranger comes running with the flowers that unfreeze the Rangers and Zords. The Yellow Ranger yells "Jason, Billy, I have the Diandra flower!" She should have yelled Tommy's name instead of Billy since we know Billy is frozen and that Tommy is the one helping Jason fight Shell-shock.

Suggested correction: She doesn't know that. She was sent running after they were frozen.

DetectiveGadget85

So if she was sent after they were frozen, she would know Billy is frozen.

Gung Ho! - S1-E25

Continuity mistake: When the 2 Ninjas are demonstrating their skills, they break a wooden board and the board is placed on the floor off the mat. Camera cuts and now the broken board is on the mat. (00:04:45)

Trivia: Portions of every episode are from a Japanese version of the show. Almost every episode in series 1 was two thirds Japanese footage, just voiced over. Saban used this Japanese footage to save on filming its own.

Show generally

Question: How many different Power Ranger TV shows/movies have there been? To my knowledge, I know of at least 7 different series, but I think there is more. How do they all connect?

Answer: According to the IMDB, there are currently 10 different series (with an 11th premiering in 2006). And, as far as I can tell, there have been only two theatrically released movies. All of the series, with the exception of the first one (that premiered back in '93) are spin-offs of the original, and they all share similar plot lines, characters, etc.
