The Great Earring Caper - S4-E20
Continuity mistake: During the kids' ping pong game in the backyard, there is something white near Jan's feet that appears to be a spare ball. But in the very next shot, it's gone. (00:12:40)
You Can't Win 'Em All - S4-E22
Continuity mistake: At the start, when Cindy walks into the kitchen she sets her books down on the counter with the book's binding facing the sink, but in the closeup the book's binding now faces the opposite way, toward the stove. Additionally, the grocery bag which was on the counter right beside Carol, has been moved for the closeup so Carol is in full view, but the bag is now at the very edge of the counter near the stove, which is pretty odd since there's not enough counter there to actually hold the full grocery bag (presumably something else supported the bag off camera). You Can't Win 'Em All - S4-E22
Continuity mistake: The dress in Cindy's arms turns around from one shot to the next; first the back is facing outward, then the front is. (00:14:15)
You Can't Win 'Em All - S4-E22
Continuity mistake: What appears to be a carton of eggs is sticking out of one of the grocery bags in some shots, but not in others. (00:15:00)
Continuity mistake: In "Our Son, the Man", Greg wants his own room. One night, while in bed, Mike and Carol discuss their options. Carol says, "How about the attic?" Mike responds with, "That would be fine if Greg were only two and a half feet tall." Later, they give Greg the den for a while. However, in "A Room at the Top", after cleaning out the attic, which was now full size, both Greg and Marcia want it for their own private room.
Continuity mistake: In episode 5-8 the girls have their walls wallpapered from pink to a yellow pattern with a white background. In the next episode it is back to the pink walls. The following episode it is back to the new wallpaper.
Continuity mistake: When Cindy gets out of bed to write a letter to Joe Namath, they show the wall next to Jan's bed and there is no window. In a previous episode Jan lost the locket out that window that Alice sent her.
Snow White and the Seven Bradys - S5-E3
Continuity mistake: During the play, Mike's "Prince Charming" hat disappears and then reappears when he leans over to kiss Carol. (00:22:15)
Snow White and the Seven Bradys - S5-E3
Continuity mistake: When Mike rides up on stage he points to the damsel in distress with his right arm extended, but in the closeup it's his left arm extended.
Continuity mistake: During the goat in the master bedroom scene, the flowers on Carol's side of the bed change during the scene. At first there is a pink flower to the right of a white flower, and then it changes to white flower on right of the pink one. In addition, the whole bouquet looks slightly different in different shots.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, Greg is painting the shutter green, he gets a phone call and goes inside. The paint bucket falls on Bobby because the ladder falls. Greg sticks his head out the window and asks who took his ladder. The shutter now has no paint on it.
Continuity mistake: In the kitchen when Jan announces that she took up tap dancing, Mike's first button goes from buttoned to unbuttoned a few times during the scene. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: The kids walk into the kitchen complaining about the noise from Jan's tap dancing. Peter reaches up and grabs his paper sack lunch and then in the next shot he says "talk about noise pollution" while grabbing his lunch for a second time. (00:09:07)
Continuity mistake: Mike has just pulled into the driveway and honked, as the family waits excitedly for him to come in and share his great news. Then, a second later, he's coming around the counter to greet everyone, instead of a car door or patio shutting.
Continuity mistake: Ken Berry and Brooke Bundy are seated at least a couple of feet from each other in the wide shots, but are right beside each other (arms touching) in the close-ups. (00:01:30)
Continuity mistake: During the filming scene near the end of the episode, Bobby's hat transitions from being in his hands to back on his head, untouched.
Top Secret - S5-E19
Continuity mistake: The amount of talcum powder in Bobby's and Oliver's hair increases from one shot to the next. (00:14:35)
Answer: I think I remember that episode - but, more importantly, my mother always told me (and my siblings) to stop jumping/ stomping, running in the kitchen, and opening the oven door when a cake was baking... because these could make the cake fall. I believed my mother... and I, as a child, also caused a few "fallen cakes" because I didn't quite always listen (right away, anyway). I'm sure Alice's fallen cake episode was exaggerated, but cakes really CAN fall from stomps and opening the oven door too soon. Usually, it has something to do with the baking powder and how the air bubbles change during the baking process. Doing something that might cause the oven and cake inside to move/shake can suddenly change the air bubbles inside the cake and cause a collapse. I don't know all factors that have to occur for a cake to fall (collapse in the middle), but I've seen fallen cakes during my adulthood and... well... caused at least a few myself. Regarding Alice's cake falling each time one of the Brady kids stomped upstairs, I'm not sure if a series of falls could occur. IF it is possible, I think there would have to be way too much baking powder in the batter or some other inaccurate combination of ingredients that alter the chemical process during baking.
