Deliberate mistake: Because the series changed networks after the end of season one, this episode completely ignores that season's cliffhanger about Harm being arrested as a suspect in the murder of Lt. Schonke.
Continuity mistake: When Lt. Roberts is held hostage in Admiral Chegwidden's office with the Admiral and the Major, he mentions a sister named Winifred. She is never mentioned again throughout the series. In later seasons it is implied that Lt. Roberts only has one sibling, a brother named Mikey.
Continuity mistake: After Harm's cockpit canopy is smashed, he and Ayers continue to fly with their masks off - one would have thought that wearing oxygen masks would have made things easier in that situation.
Visible crew/equipment: When Rabb and Bud meet Elaine on the beach a boom Mic is visible.
Revealing mistake: As Harm & Mac are returning to the US, we are told they are flying out of London Heathrow. But the stock footage of an airport used is actually London Gatwick, identified by its distinctive control tower, and not Heathrow.
Revealing mistake: When Harm kills a poacher hunting them, they take his rifle but the ammunition he has for the rifle is shotgun shells.
Factual error: In the whole episode, Romania is depicted as a monarchy with the king in a position that allows him to make political decisions. However, Romania ceased to be a monarchy in 1947. By the time depicted in the episode (circa 1997), Romania was a republic and its head of state was the president. Members of the ex-royal family did not hold any positions in the Romanian government and were certainly not authorized to represent Romania in international events.
Character mistake: In the board game of Go, players should place the stones on an empty intersection of the board's lines. Harm and Estruga are supposed to be avid Go players, but they place the stones inside the squares on the board.
Revealing mistake: The municipal court-room used for the Chief's arraignment hearing looks amazingly similar to the military court-room at JAG. Or maybe, the same architect of the Navy's court-room was retained by the District as well.
Factual error: In the intro before the title, the bridge of the Cayuga is shown, intercut with photos of another ship supposedly about to run into her. We see the starboard side of a vessel and later a blurry long-shot of a ship approaching. In both shots, the running lights are the wrong way around. The starboard light should be green and the port light red but the first shot shows the starboard light as red and both left and right wrong in the shot of the oncoming ship. (00:00:52 - 00:01:50)
Plot hole: When the radar man of the USS Cayuga describes a radar reading to likely be "One of the Russian cruisers", the commanding officer of the USS decides not to pursue it saying, "We are after bigger fish today - I want the Vasilyev". In the film, the Vasilyev is depicted as a destroyer, which is a smaller and lighter ship than a cruiser. In this context, the cruiser would be a "bigger fish" than the Vasilyev and the CO should pursue it instead if he was after the larger, more dangerous vessels as he seems to declare.
Rendezvous - S2-E15
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Bud is shredding the satelite photograph, when he turns around to talk to Harriet, a microphone dips into the scene for a quick second.
