Alias

Q and A - S1-E17

Visible crew/equipment: In the first run through of Sydney driving into the dock in the car, the cable being used to pull the car is visible if you look closely in the long shot. (00:01:50)

Rendezvous - S1-E21

Factual error: When Sloane is talking to Emily on the telephone, Sloane's phone emits a call waiting beep and the camera focuses on the phone's screen. There are two factual errors here: 1) The phone icon for "Line 1" near the top right hand corner of the phone display is in the "on-hook" position indicating that there is no call in place. 2) The call information is displayed incorrectly. It is obvious that this is a Cisco XML card with the text entered. (00:32:10)

Almost Thirty Years - S1-E22

Factual error: At the start, just after Sydney has the phone call regarding Will, she goes to meet her dad and says that they can save Will, if they get the Rambaldi document from the CIA and the ampule from SD6. In fact, it is the other way round; the CIA have the ampule, and SD6 have the page.

Suggested correction: SD6 got the ampule off Sark after catching him when Vaughn left him to help Sydny.

I am afraid not, Vaughan recovers the ampule before leaving to save Sydney. Thus CIA still has the ampule.

The Enemy Walks In - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: At the start when Sydney is being held and talking to Khasinau, there is blood coming from the corner of her mouth. At this point it reaches the bottom of her chin, but moments later when she is talking to her mother, the blood is noticeably shorter.

Cipher - S2-E3

Factual error: When Sydney goes to find the Artifact in Siberia, she is told that if the ice breaks she will have only 4 seconds to get back up. If it is that cold out how come the ice is not thicker?

aheintz

Dead Drop - S2-E4

Factual error: In Season 2 episode 4, in the scene after the house explodes, Sydney can be be seen communicating with the CIA over her COM unit. In the proximity that she was from the explosion of such a magnitude, COM frequencies are disabled. (00:40:35)

Urielx

Passage (1) - S2-E8

Factual error: When Sydney goes to Uzbekistan, it isn't Uzbekistan. The restaurant where the meeting occurs has nothing made by Uzbeks, and it is too remote to be made by foreigners. The people are speaking Arabic instead of Uzbek and Russian, and the sign on the wall is also Arabic. The guards are also wearing what appears to be a Russian uniform, even if the badge is correct.

The Abduction - S2-E10

Continuity mistake: In 'The Abduction', when Sydney shuts down the traffic lights Sark's car is in the middle of the gridlock. When Sydney is fleeing with the stolen briefcase seconds later Sark pulls up beside her to save her, but how did he get out of the huge gridlock?

Shay

The Getaway - S2-E12

Character mistake: When Agent Vaughn's identity is discovered while on the date with Sydney, it's matched via his driving license, gym membership card, and library card. The driver's license has his name spelled incorrectly (Vaughan instead of Vaughn). (00:24:02)

The Getaway - S2-E12

Other mistake: When the bad guys are searching the database for facial matches with Michael Vaughn, it shouldn't take them very long, as there are only 5 or 6 different faces that flash up on screen, just repeated over and over.

Phase One - S2-E13

Plot hole: In 'Phase One' Sydney tells Will during the day to "Get Francie and get out of town" because she realises there's someone after her. Later that night Francie is shot at her restaurant and replaced by Allison (the clone), but Will was supposed to have taken her away already. There's no question of him not finding her - the restaurant would be the first place he'd look for her.

Shay

Phase One - S2-E13

Continuity mistake: When the new head of SD-6 invites the security agent to play back what Sloane wrote, the screen is already displaying the letter. We only see the entirety of this letter later, once the "playback" has been completed. It can't be that the boss has done it once already, as he's surprised to see the final text.

Endgame - S2-E19

Factual error: Francie alters Will's cell phone so she can download items from the CIA's computers via it. In order to start the link, she calls him on the cell phone, asks him to look up a recipe on his computer, and then this cell phone is able to download a 3 gigabyte file. The phone Will uses has a maximum data transfer rate of 14.4 kbs; wouldn't Will get suspicious after he's forced to surf for this recipe for 57 hours while that gigantic file downloads?

Second Double - S2-E21

Plot hole: When Sydney is visiting Will in jail, she says that the CIA changed all the passwords. However in a later scene, Weiss asks will for his password, and Will says that it's "Sydney." If the passwords were changed, wouldn't Will's have been changed too?

Remnants - S3-E10

Revealing mistake: When Lazare shows up to talk to Will, we see that his left hand has been cut off. When Lazare is about to leave, he has his hands at his sides, and we can see that both arms are the same length, but the left one should be shorter, because it has no hand.

Full Disclosure - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: When Sydney is torching the lab you see 6 test tubes labelled with her name shatter and spill. In the next shot the tubes are back on the rack and intact. (00:38:20)

The Frame - S3-E17

Other mistake: When Jack logs into Lauren's e-mail account, for one, the birth dates on Lauren's IDs say 1959 and 69 (which would make her either 33 or 44). Plus you can see (possibly) real e-mails from actual crewmembers, for example at the bottom you can see "FW:Photos for Alias Ep.#315." (00:10:57)

Sloane: Marshall, would you please go back to work?
Agent Marshall Flinkman: Just to clarify, I'm not being fired?
Sloane: Back to work means not fired.

Doppelganger - S1-E5

Question: When discussing the bomb plot, there's something odd with the audio. When Sloane's talking, at two points he says "UCO", but it's obviously been dubbed over - the shot's from behind but the tone is different. Arguably just post-production looping, but because the pitch is so noticeably different I'm assuming they mentioned some organisation they couldn't refer to, so changed it. Can't be the UN, as they mention that earlier in the scene. Anyone know why that was changed? (00:35:05)

Jon Sandys

Chosen answer: It does sound overdubbed, but there was no change in the organization. UCO is United Commission Organization. There are signs when Patel is coming that say UCO so obviously it wasn't changed.
