Continuity mistake: Roz comes back to the restaurant table, after phoning her babysitter, and says, "I have to go". At this point her purse is over her wrist. As she finishes saying, "Alice got a bead up her nose", she is holding the purse by its strap. A few shots later it is over her wrist again, even though she never moved it.
Continuity mistake: Frasier is talking to Luke in the restaurant early in the show. Luke's hand switches its position several times from shot to shot - from one hand on the table to both hands on the table and then back again.
Continuity mistake: Roz goes to Frasier's to tell him Luke has been seeing someone else - while they are drinking in the kitchen, the level of her drink changes without her drinking or having a refill.
Continuity mistake: When Luke and Frasier are talking in the restaurant, and Frasier asks, "So Luke, you're a boat enthusiast?", his forearm is resting on the table. When the shot cuts back to him, only his hand is resting on the table, with no time for him to change position.
Continuity mistake: When Frasier and Luke are on Luke's boat, Luke is holding a book and some yellow papers while they talk. Sometimes the sheets are on top of the book, and sometimes they are underneath the book.
Continuity mistake: Niles is sitting at a table in Cafe Nervosa looking at a magazine - he has a page folded back and we can a large photo on the page. When Roz comes over to use her cell, the shot goes back to Niles and now he has the mag opened at a different page. There's another change when Frasier comes over to use his cellphone. At no time did Niles actually turn a page or even have time to do so.
Continuity mistake: When Roz opens her gift of a bracelet from Frasier, he puts it on her and she feels guilty, so she goes to call Luke - but as she leaves the table, there is suddenly no sign of the box the bracelet came in.
Continuity mistake: While Marty is sitting with Eddie on his lap and talking to Niles, the dog's blue kennel tag goes from above Marty's hand to under Eddie's chin from one shot to the next.
Answer: Nanny G (Nanette Guzman - played by Laurie Metcaf) has been a children's entertainer for twenty years, and tells Frasier, "Do you know what it's like to play the same character for 20 years?!" The joke is that Kelsey Grammer has been playing Frasier Crane since 1984, when the character first appeared on "Cheers", so Kelsey in real life has been doing just that!
