Day 6: 4:00 AM - 5:00 AM - S6-E23
Question: When VP Daniels and Tom are in the oval office talking about K Hayes and B Buchanan, as Tom leaves the room it cuts to a close up of VP Daniels. Just behind him is a photograph in a frame where the photo somehow moves? Was this intentional, as it caught my eye and I cannot explain it.
Question: When the FBI enter the Starkwood compound, they are surrounded by Starkwood militia and Hodges threatens to open fire if the FBI don't leave the property. They are federal agents. Would opening fire on them not still be a crime? Hodges seemed sure he could order it to be done and be within his rights so why was that?
Answer: Hodges had a warped, extremist view of individual and property rights. Harassing, impeding, threatening, or interfering with federal agents engaged in their official duties is against the law, even if the actions of the agents are found later to be unlawful. Once he knew they were feds, threatening to shoot them was a crime.
Question: It is mentioned that 14 months prior to Day 6, Abu Fayed was detained by CTU Seattle, and his release was signed by Bill Buchanan. Considering the 20-month jump between seasons five and six and no mention of Buchanan ever being reassigned, the math doesn't add up; it seems to me that Buchanan would still have been at CTU Los Angeles. Can someone help me out?
Chosen answer: It is stated in season 4 somewhere around the 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm time frame that Buchanan worked at CTU Seattle before being transfered to Los Angeles. Michelle Dessler worked with him there while Tony was in prison between seasons 3 and 4.
Question: Has anybody been able to find the easter egg on the DVD-set?
Answer: It's on the Special Features disc. With "Season 7 Preview" selected, press up on the remote. There should be a small "24" that appears. Press that, and you'll get the scene of Jack and Chloe on "The Simpsons."
Question: If Jack and Graem are brothers, why has there never been any mention of their relationship before, even in passing? And I'm talking beside the fact the producers didn't make them brothers until season 6.
Chosen answer: There really wasn't any need for us to know he had a brother before - for all we know, he could have more than one brother but the need for us to know isn't there...just like there isn't any mention of his mother - who, for all we know, could be the mastermind criminal behind everything. Bear in mind over the near 10 years in the show's time that have elapsed over the 6 seasons, we've only spent 6 days in Jack's company - no reason his brother would have come up.
Answer: This is unintentional and a simple continuity mistake.
