Question: Is there any reason why Harris Yulin was not credited for his role as Roger Stanton?
Day 2: 7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M. - S2-E24
Question: Who are the people Kingsley are reporting to on the phone? I understand he works for them but was there ever any indication as to who they were or what their roll in all this was?
Chosen answer: As revealed in 24: The Game, Max was a weapons dealer with ties to terrorist organizations. It is further revealed in the game that his weapons dealings with terrorists were interfered with by American authorites. which caused the deals to go sour. His terrorist clients retaliated by murdering his family before his eyes. Presumably, he was primarily motivated by revenge against the American Government, with a secondary goal of driving up oil prices to make himself rich. To this end, he masterminded the plot to start a war between the US and three Middle Eastern countries.
Day 2: 7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M. - S2-E24
Question: At the end of the episode is the famous scene where the woman shakes hands with Palmer and gives him some kind of poison. When the camera first pans onto her it zooms in and suspenseful music plays. This indicates to me that we are supposed to be surprised who she is. Did I miss something? Was she on the show before and her appearance as the assassin supposed to be a surprise? Or was everything just for dramatic effect?
Chosen answer: She was in the first season. She was the woman who destroys and then parachutes out of the airplane in the first episode of the series.
Day 2: 8:00 A.M.-9:00 A.M. - S2-E1
Question: In the O.C., what was in the folder Eric Rayburn gave to Palmer regarding Second Wave?
Answer: It's never revealed on camera, but judging from Palmer's conversation with the Middle Eastern Prime Minister soon after, it can be presumed the folder contains proof of Second Wave terrorist camps operating on the enemy country's soil with funding.
Day 2: 9:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M. - S2-E14
Question: At the end of this episode (when they find the bomb in the van) Jack calls for the 'bomb disarmer.' "N.E.S.T" is visible on the back of their jackets. Does this actually stand for something?
Answer: Nuclear Emergency Search Team.
Day 2: 7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M. - S2-E24
Question: In the last episode of season two, in the final minutes, what exactly happens to Palmer? What did that woman have on her hand that made him ill?
Answer: 1) The woman had a plastic sheet on her hand (which she later removes with tweezers so she would not have to touch it and be infected). When the poisonous side came into contact with skin, it burnt through it and entered the bloodstream, thus poisoning the recipient. 2) We are not told which virus it is but my best guess is that it is the same virus that they are trying to contain in Series 3.
Day 2: 10:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M. - S2-E15
Question: If Jack jumps from the plane only four minutes before the bomb is going to detonate, how come he survives the radiation?
Answer: Because the bomb exploded in a depression in the Mojave desert, which contains the radiation.
Day 2: 6:00 A.M.-7:00 A.M. - S2-E23
Question: Who is the woman seen with Kingsley near the end of the episode? At one point we see him reach for a knife, does he kill her?
Answer: Yes. At the end of the episode in question when it goes to split screen before the clock appears, one of the screens shows Kingsley stood in front of his desk with her lying on the floor.
Answer: Guest stars must share screen credit with one or two other guest stars, but Yulin wanted his name to appear alone. The producers wouldn't allow it, so Yulin decided to remain uncredited.
