Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Welcome To The Hellmouth (1) - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: The scene where Xander is on his skateboard, he becomes distracted seeing Buffy walk up the stairs and accidentally hits the pole. When the camera pans back, you can see Buffy is out of view, and is nowhere to be seen. Because she was still at the top of the stairs when Xander hit the pole, you should have been able to see her walking in the background.

Suggested correction: Watching the scene, the only real damage is a slight dent that isn't all that close to the lock (she basically punches out the lock to open it). And to be perfectly honest, a dented locker isn't out of the ordinary for a high school. I saw plenty of dented, bent and damaged locker doors all the time back in high school. It's entirely probable that it is damaged from a previous take, but I think it's also within that sort-of realm of possibility (since like I said, dented lockers aren't out of the ordinary) that it might not be considered a mistake. I'll leave it up to people's votes.

Nightmares - S1-E10

Revealing mistake: When Willow opens the door to the basement to look for Buffy, the shot looking up the basement's staircase shows Willow's shadow on the inside of the door. In the previous shot when she opened the door, it opens towards a wall and a staircase to the second floor. But there is no light source coming from the wall or the staircase, giving the impression that the basement was filmed on a separate set.

Prophecy Girl - S1-E12

Deliberate mistake: When Willow and Jenny go out to the parking lot only to discover vampires converging on the school, pay attention to the extras. You can make out some of the same extras in different shots coming from different directions. (Most notably, you can see a woman in a long black-and-white skirt coming from the direction of the parking lot, then a few shots later, she's suddenly over in the football field coming from there.) They obviously reused extras in different shots to "pad out" the crowds.

Prophecy Girl - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: When Giles and Jenny are talking about Buffy, Giles says "We must get in touch with this Brother Luca chap!" watch Giles. In the first shot he's still reaching towards the top of the cabinet. Instantly in the next shot, he's in the middle pulling something down from the top of the cabinet.

Prophecy Girl - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: When Buffy is consoling Willow after she discovered the dead students, as Buffy leaves the room, Willow's mouth is open and she looks down. It then cuts to a wideshot. Instantly, Willow's mouth is closed and she's staring forward, and she looks down a second time.

Prophecy Girl - S1-E12

Visible crew/equipment: When Buffy meets Giles in the library after the opening credits, and they start talking, throughout the scene, you can see set lights and reflectors reflected in Giles' glasses multiple times. This happens often throughout the series, but is particularly noticeable here.

Prophecy Girl - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: In the beginning, when Xander is practicing asking Buffy out with Willow, at once point Willow puts one of her snacks (candies, I think) into her mouth and starts chewing in a medium/wide profile shot of the two. It then cuts to a closeup of her and instantly she's no longer chewing, and immediately places a second candy in her mouth. She didn't have time to stop chewing and swallow between cuts.

School Hard - S2-E3

Vampire: And when I kill her, it will be the greatest event since the crucifixion. And I should know, I was there.
Spike: You were there?! If every vampire who said he was actually at the crucifixion really was there, it would've been like Woodstock!

The Yoko Factor (1) - S4-E20

Question: At the last moment before leaving for good, Angel pauses to tell Buffy "I don't like him" [Riley], to which she replies with a large smile "Thank you." Why does she take this comment surprisingly well? From an ex boyfriend to her new boyfriend? It's not like it sounds like a friendly warning of any sort, nor a joke given the tense situation between the two guys in the episode. And the smile on Buffy's face does not make her response look ironic either, more like loving/caring. Is that a cross over reference to another dialogue in the Angel series?

AnthonyA

Chosen answer: Angel is saying that he is still jealous and Buffy recognizes that this is his way of saying he wishes that they could be together. That is why they both smile.
