Trivia: During filming, Sarah Michelle Gellar became very close with Michael Gershman, the lead cinematographer of the first five seasons, who became a father figure to her (she was estranged from her real father). They became so close that when Gellar got married in 2002, she asked Gershman to dance with her during the father-daughter dance. When Gershman passed away in 2018, Gellar posted a heartfelt tribute to him on her social media.

Continuity mistake: When Buffy is talking to Riley, she puts the scarf on her head, on his hand. He talks to her and says "Maybe I am the bad guy," and in the next frame her scarf is back on her head again, then off again in the next frame. (00:24:20)

Question: Was the process in which a vampire sires a human borrowed from Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula? Having seen that film recently, I noticed that, when Dracula sires Mina, the process was the same. Or was it taken from vampire mythology?
