Suggested correction: I've seen a few of these listed as errors, but they're not. A lot of shows do this often if you pay attention. It's called "product displacement", and it is done to avoid being sued or having to pay licensing fees. Also, it is cheaper to alter logos like this than pixelate/blur them out. What is interesting though, is that one of the grape nut boxes in this picture does not have an altered logo.

Yes, it's product displacement, and this is specifically referred to as the "greeking" process. However, your correction only offers an excuse as to why this occurs. The tape or paint partially or fully covering the brand names or logos are a distraction, and it removes viewers from the fake reality of the show or movie. Originally, these types of submissions were to be listed in trivia, but instead they were placed in the mistake section.

The One With a Chick. And a Duck. - S3-E21

Revealing mistake: When Joey comes in with the shoebox containing the chick, it looks like a normal sized box, about 5 - 6 inches deep. But when Joey takes the lid off, we can see that the chick must be elevated on something inside the box, since we can see its entire body. Surely, the chick can't be more than 6 inches tall? The One With The Flashback - S3-E6

Revealing mistake: When Monica offers Joey lemonade and he takes off his clothes and is behind the lamp, the tops of his boxer shorts are visible when he says "Were you just gonna give me lemonade?" Broadcasts may crop off this bottom part, DVD doesn't. You can also see his gray boxer shorts through the plant in the previous shot.

The One With The Giant Poking Device - S3-E8

Revealing mistake: In the scene where Chandler confronts Janice about Joey seeing her kissing her ex-husband, Janice begins to hyperventilate. However, right before Chandler gives her the paper bag, Janice spins around and places the receipt in her mouth. Conveniently, after she begins breathing into the bag, she "chokes" on a receipt. The One With Ross's Teeth - S6-E8

Monica: What happened to your teeth?
Ross: I whitened them.
Chandler: Really?
Ross: Yeah, what... What do you think?
Monica: Well, uh, I think I shouldn't look directly at them.
Ross: Come on, seriously.
Monica: Ross, they're really, really, really white!
Chandler: Yeah, what was wrong with your old... Human teeth?
Ross: Well, I did leave the gel on a little longer than it said to.
Monica: How much longer?
Ross: Uh, uh... A day.
Monica: Ross, you know that tonight is your date with Hillary?
Ross: I know! That's why I did it! Come on, are they really that bad?
Chandler: No. No, no, no, you'll be fine. Hilary's blind, right?
Monica: She will be after tonight.

The One With The Dirty Girl - S4-E6

Question: When Joey asks why he can't give Kathy the pen, Chandler says, "Because she's not eleven. And it's not the seventh night of Chanukah." What is Chandler talking about when he says, "It's not the seventh night of Chanukah?"

Answer: Usually by the seventh night of Hanukkah you don't know what to get the other person, and you will probably resort to getting the other person something insignificant. Chandler is basically saying that the pen is a stupid gift.

Answer: Chanukah is a Jewish celebration that occurs around the same time as the Christian Christmas. The celebration lasts for eight days and it is customary to give a small gift on each of the eight days. There is no special gift required and the line about it being "the seventh night" of Chanukah is just Chandler's sarcasm.
