Friends

Correction: We don't know how much time has passed. Joey might have stepped out for whatever reason.

Correction: That's a mistake made by the British subtitlers, not by the producers of the show.

Correction: This is not correct, it is a picture of Rachel from season 5-6.

The One With The Cake - S10-E4

Corrected entry: What has happened to Ross' tan? An average spray on tan lasts about a fortnight and, if he could wash it off, why didn't he just get rid of it immediately after the first time he is sprayed?

Correction: They don't say how much time passed between episodes. Just because the episode aired a week apart doesn't mean the events happen a week apart.

Correction: Why would she? It would be perfectly natural for Rachel to laugh but try to hide it in that situation. I see no mistake.

Correction: Rachel actually says "my sister Jill," so this is not a mistake.

Correction: It may just be that the Swedish guy is just mispronouncing 'orchids' with his Swedish accent.

The One With Phoebe's Dad - S2-E9

Corrected entry: When Phoebe is talking with her dad in Central Perk and he learns that her mom committed suicide years ago, he asks, "What about the girls?" He doesn't say anything, nor does Phoebe, about Frank, Jr., his son.

Correction: That's because Frank Jr. is his son with a different woman, who's still alive. Frank Jr. is Phoebe's half brother, remember. He's not worried about his son, only the girls, because they were left alone.

The One With The Ring - S6-E23

Corrected entry: When Phoebe accidentally allows Chandler's ring to be sold, she tells him that she overheard which restaurant the guy said he was taking his girlfriend to, so they can go find him and persuade him to exchange rings. However, in the previous scene we see that Phoebe was paying no attention at all to that guy - she was too busy trying on jewellery. She wasn't even within earshot of the guy, and we see from her reaction that she hadn't even noticed him at all before he left the store with the ring (during which time he doesn't say anything at all). (00:16:50)

Correction: She may have been trying on all the jewellery, but she would have certainly heard the guy say he was going to a certain restaurant with his girlfriend before he left. Obviously she then realised the ring the man bought was the one Chandler had his eye on so reacted.

Correction: That is Phoebe talking on the phone.

The One With The Invitation - S4-E21

Corrected entry: Phoebe shows Ross' invitation to everyone, stating "Ross let Ben address mine." The envelope has poor kid like handwriting. The address is a 4 line address and the invitation also has stamps on it. When the camera comes back to Phoebe, she's holding an envelope with just her name on it, with no stamps. When she puts down the envelope by her side, the 4 line address is back. (00:11:30)

Makes Sense

Correction: Yes, there are two larger envelopes, but they are not meant to be the same envelope, it's wedding invitation etiquette. The actual invitation itself is inserted in the "inner envelope" with only Phoebe's name written on it (or as 'Phoebe and friend'), and this inner envelope is inserted in the "outside envelope" along with the reply card (in the small envelope), and it's the outside envelope which is stamped and addressed to Phoebe ("4 line address"). We even see Phoebe holding both larger envelopes while removing the reply card's small envelope, just as Monica says, "This is so amazing," and also see them when Rachel opens her own envelope.

Super Grover

Correction: Early on in the episode, Monica suggested vegetarians can scrape. It is possible that Phoebe is doing exactly that. Also, two episodes later ("The One with the Candy Hearts"), it is revealed that Phoebe, in fact, does enjoy meat, as long as no-one tells her it is meat she is eating. She is poor and has never been able to afford meat.

The One With Five Steaks and an Eggplant - S2-E5

Corrected entry: When the whole group is eating dinner, Ross miscalculates what everyone owes. At first, he states "Everyone owes 28 bucks." He assumes all six people will chip in, so he was starting from a total of $168. Ross then decides, "Monica shouldn't have to pay" (since it's her birthday), so he instead divides the total by five to get each person's individual amount owed. He can be heard saying, "So... five of us is... $33.50 a piece." $33.50 is incorrect. He should have arrived at a figure of $33.60, ten cents higher per person, because $168 divided by 5 is $33.60. (00:10:05)

Correction: So Ross rounded to the nearest half-dollar. That's not a mistake.

Show generally

Corrected entry: The first version of Central Perk's logo, seen from season 1, presents a perspective error on the right top corner of the left cup of coffee. Some seasons later, the logo receives a tiny correction in the same area, that makes the perspective "OK" to the eye. The cup line straightens up, and the steam is brought a little closer to the ribbon containing the name.

Gui Petrini

Correction: It's not unusual for shops or business places to change their graphics. Not a mistake since the show takes place over 10 years.

Ssiscool

Correction: The understanding is misconstrued. Monica knew that Phoebe had slept with him (ergo The One with George Stephanopoulos); the surprise comes from the fact that she had slept with him only one hour following their breakup. This is not a continuity mistake but a misunderstanding of meaning.

The One With Ross's Denial - S6-E3

Corrected entry: In the scene where Rachel asks Phoebe if she can live with her Phoebe claims to have a roommate called Denise. However in a previous episode 'The one in Vegas part 1' Rachel and Phoebe are talking about walking around the apartment naked and Rachel says "you live on your own" to which Phoebe agrees saying "Yeah, why do you think it takes me so long to answer the door".

Correction: The whole point of this joke is that Denise doesn't exist.

Brad

Correction: No, she doesn't deny that they were technically "on a break", she just doesn't feel that makes it any more acceptable for Ross to have gone off and slept with someone else whilst they were still trying to work things out.

pinkwafer

Correction: Joey probably forgot to count himself, remember, he's not that bright.

Correction: Phoebe's mother was busy planning her suicide, so she wasn't really likely to be checking what films her children were watching.

Correction: The death of Bambi's mother happens quite a bit before the end, so Phoebe's mother may not have realised that that moment in the film happened so early on, and accidentally let her see it.

Correction: That's not how the statistics work. There's no guarantee that any embryos will attach at all - presumably the odds of any one embryo attaching is 5%, so adding 5 makes the odds 25%. It has to be a balance between ensuring a vaguely decent chance of a viable pregnancy vs. the risk of having multiple babies. For example if they inserted 20 embryos to potentially "guarantee" at least one would attach, at least statistically, the odds would be much much higher of say 5 of them attaching, which would cause great complications for the mother and indeed the fetuses, not all of which would likely survive.

Kathy: So, what did you do today?
Chandler: Well, I had an appointment to get my hair cut...
Kathy: Oh, it looks great!
Chandler: ...and then it got cancelled.

Trivia: The Magna-doodle on the door in the boys apartment has a different picture on it every episode. There is usually some tenuous connection between the picture and the plot of the episode.

The One With The Dirty Girl - S4-E6

Question: When Joey asks why he can't give Kathy the pen, Chandler says, "Because she's not eleven. And it's not the seventh night of Chanukah." What is Chandler talking about when he says, "It's not the seventh night of Chanukah?"

Answer: Usually by the seventh night of Hanukkah you don't know what to get the other person, and you will probably resort to getting the other person something insignificant. Chandler is basically saying that the pen is a stupid gift.

Answer: Chanukah is a Jewish celebration that occurs around the same time as the Christian Christmas. The celebration lasts for eight days and it is customary to give a small gift on each of the eight days. There is no special gift required and the line about it being "the seventh night" of Chanukah is just Chandler's sarcasm.
