The One with the Blackout - S1-E7
Corrected entry: Chandler calls Monica to tell he's trapped in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre on a mobile phone, however Monica answers by picking up the house phone. In a power blackout, the phone wouldn't have any power so Chandler shouldn't be able to reach Monica.
The One with Mrs. Bing - S1-E11
Corrected entry: Phoebe and Monica are in the hospital room speculating about the coma guy's name, yet he is wearing a hospital bracelet with his identifying information which is easily seen on his wrist, lying above the covers.
Correction: She was wondering what his real name was.
The One with the Candy Hearts - S1-E14
Corrected entry: When Ross comes back from asking out his neighbour at the counter, he has his hand open at one point, pointing down, but then apparently smashes the egg on Chandler. It's clear he never had the egg in his hand as there is no mess on Chandler's vest top either.
Correction: It was in his pocket.
The One with the Monkey - S1-E10
Corrected entry: When Ross comes in with the monkey there is a visible shadow in the bathroom and a crew member is closing the door.
Correction: That's Phoebe not a crew member. She walked to the bathroom after her comment about the name Bethel (00:00:25).
The One with the East German Laundry Detergent - S1-E5
Corrected entry: When Rachel says, "If you want this cart you're gonna have to take me with it", you can see Ross mouth "with it" behind her. (00:20:30)
Correction: Ross makes a grimace with his mouth before and during the line but is not mouthing lines.
The One with Two Parts: Part 1 - S1-E16
Corrected entry: The colour of Chandler's suit changes from grey to green while he's trying to fire Nina. (00:11:25)
Correction: Chandler's suit changes because he's wearing different ones over multiple days. He attempts to fire Nina, then chickens out, then tries again on another day and fails, then finally musters the courage to do so on a third attempt after his boss confronts him.
No, if you watch the scene you will see that on the second attempt the suit changes colour between camera angles. This is not because it is different days.
I just streamed it again. I don't see that the suit changes color from grey to green, but it does look different when seen from either the front or the back view. However, it looks like this is just from the set lighting. There's a strong light source coming from the left-hand side that makes Chandler's suit look lighter from the back. The front is more shadowed.
Correction: He wears the same suit throughout the scene, but the light hits it differently when he moves around the office.
The One Where Nana Dies Twice - S1-E8
Corrected entry: When Phoebe says 'what a great day', she starts to put her hand to her face. Then in the next shot, her sunglasses have jumped to her hand. (00:14:20)
Correction: You can see she takes the sunglasses off as she's speaking.
The One with the Blackout - S1-E7
Corrected entry: When Joey walks in holding the candles and says his old roommate was Jewish, Joey's actually holding a kinara for Kwanzaa not a menorah for Hanukkah. There are only 7 candles on the candle holder that Joey is holding and there are 9 on the menorah.
Correction: The 7 or 9 branches have different meanings. The 7 branch menorah represents the one which stood in Jerusalem's temple. The 9 branch is called a chanukiah, and represents the Hanukkah miracle.
The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate - S1-E1
Corrected entry: When the guys are building furniture, Joey is wearing a pair of light blue jeans. When he leaves to go on his date, they are dark blue. (00:11:50)
Correction: Joey's wearing the same color jeans when he leaves for his date with Julie.
The One with the Dozen Lasagnas - S1-E12
Corrected entry: At the end, Phoebe and Monica are sitting at the table eating the meat lasagna. Phoebe would not eat this as she is a vegetarian. (00:21:35)
Correction: Early on in the episode, Monica suggested vegetarians can scrape. It is possible that Phoebe is doing exactly that. Also, two episodes later ("The One with the Candy Hearts"), it is revealed that Phoebe, in fact, does enjoy meat, as long as no-one tells her it is meat she is eating. She is poor and has never been able to afford meat.
The One with Mrs. Bing - S1-E11
Corrected entry: In this episode when Joey is talking about his mother he mentions that she gave birth to 7 children. But Joey has 7 sisters which means that including him she gave birth to 8.
Correction: Joey probably forgot to count himself, remember, he's not that bright.
The One Where Underdog Gets Away - S1-E9
Corrected entry: When Monica yells about how many potatoes she made when they were locked out, she calls Joey Mario. Not Joey.
Correction: Because of Joey's VD poster: "What Mario isn't telling you".
The One Where the Monkey Gets Away - S1-E19
Corrected entry: Monica tells the guys that she and Phoebe will search the third and fourth floors for the monkey and the guys would search the first and second floors. But Monica and Phoebe knock on Mr. Heckles' door, #9, which would be on one of the lower floors.
The One with the Thumb - S1-E3
Corrected entry: When Alan arrives at the apartment, he doesn't have anything with him, but when Monica says goodnight to him at the door, he is carrying an umbrella.
Correction: If you look real carefully [and well, try slow-motion it] when Allan arrives he indeed has an umbrella on his right hand, the camera shot just shows a bit of it, but you can actually see it there, so him carrying an umbrella when leaving is not a mistake, because he took it in with him when he arrived.
The One Where Nana Dies Twice - S1-E8
Corrected entry: Rachel says to Chandler that she thought he was gay when she first met him, but then later he spent "Phoebe's entire birthday party staring at her breasts". In a later season, we find out that they kissed when Chandler was in college and Rachel in high school. Also. Phoebe has not had a birthday since Rachel and she met for the first time.
The One Where Underdog Gets Away - S1-E9
Corrected entry: In this episode, when Chandler is telling Rachel his Thanksgiving story, he says that he had just had a mouthful of pumpkin pie when his parents told him they were getting divorced. However, in 'The One With All The Thanksgivings', in the flashback, Chandler is eating turkey when they tell him (hence the houseboy saying 'more turkey Mr. Chandler?').
The One with the Candy Hearts - S1-E14
Corrected entry: Just before Ross crushes the egg on Chandler's back, you can see that he has nothing in either of his hands. You can see Ross shaking his fingers as he says 'she said yes' (00:02:55)
The One with the Boobies - S1-E13
Corrected entry: In the coffee house when Joey's dad asks Ross "How's the wife?" he moves his head and makes a groaning sound. His lips do not visibly move, and there is no other indication that he made this noise. It also sounds strange and misplaced in the shot if you listen to it in surround sound, implying it was dubbed in afterwards. (00:04:10)
The One with the Candy Hearts - S1-E14
Corrected entry: The English subtitles on the DVD show Carol's last name is Willet - but it's Willick. (00:05:15)
Correction: Subtitle mistakes on the dvd are not mistakes made by the show. They are DVD production mistakes.
The One with the Fake Monica - S1-E21
Corrected entry: After Ross chides Marcel for humping the lamp, in the next shot, you can see Marcel come out from the hallway leading to the closet. He was obviously released from back there by the handlers for that particular shot. (00:00:40)
Correction: Phones don't lose power during blackouts - regular landline phones are powered over the phone lines from the telephone exchange, which will have backup power available. Cordless phones would lose power, as the base station needs to be plugged in. But in this case Monica is using a wired phone. It's recommended to keep a wired landline phone in the house specifically to use in case of a blackout, as she clearly does.
