Continuity mistake: When Jake's dad slams down the glass of liquor onto the table, in the first shot, his hand is a solid foot away from the edge of the table. But when the camera cuts, it's suddenly over the top of the table and slamming the glass down.
Continuity mistake: When Jake's dad sets down the bottle of liquor in the close-up shot after the talent show, the bottle is quite full, with the liquor level being right under the little insignia on the bottle. When it cuts to the wide shot, suddenly there's less liquor in the bottle, with the liquid being about 2-3" below the insignia.
Visible crew/equipment: When Lexy is scared in the classroom and stands up, there's a closeup of her eyes, and you can see a very clear reflection of a lighting bounce-card in her eyes.
Continuity mistake: After Jake storms out of the cafeteria, the amount of juice in his cup decreases between shots, even though he didn't drink any before he left.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the cafeteria scene, as Jake and Devon talk, Devon's hands change positions instantly between cuts numerous times, especially when he's asking Jake about being on his podcast.
Continuity mistake: When Jake and Devon are talking in the cafeteria, the position of Jake's cellphone and headphones that he set down changes multiple times, revealing different parts of different takes were used.
Continuity mistake: When Junior and Lexy walk away from Jake in the school hallway (right after Lexy asks if Jake needs money), in the first shot, there's nobody behind them. But in the next shot, suddenly two people are right behind them.
Audio problem: When Jake gets to school, a kid tells him his Good Guy doll is "cool." Jake asks if he wants to buy it, and the kid replies, "No thanks." But his mouth isn't moving. (The shot cuts while he's saying it, but you can tell his mouth isn't moving.)
Audio problem: When Jake is researching how much Good Guy dolls sell for on his laptop, you can hear a phantom mouse-clicking sound, even though he's not using a mouse.
Continuity mistake: When Jake grabs Chucky from under the bed, right after his dad destroys his sculpture, in the high-angle wide shot, there appears to be a piece of debris from the statue about a foot away from Chucky, but it disappears when the scene cuts to a close-up of Jake grabbing Chucky.
Continuity mistake: When Lucas destroys Jake's statue, in the wide shots, the baseball bat on the floor is nowhere near a doll head. But in the closeup, it's right next to a doll's head.
Continuity mistake: When Lucas destroys Jake's statue, there's a high-angle shot where he throws the baseball bat onto the floor. A few shots pass and we see another high-angle shot and the debris on the floor is slightly different. (Likely from two different takes of him destroying the statue and throwing the bat down.)
Continuity mistake: When Logan is asking Lucas about "how's business?", Bree goes from holding her fork to not holding it instantly between cuts.
Other mistake: When we see the close-up of the newspaper headline that says "Ray Parents Slain" at the start of the episode, look at the smaller articles on the close-up side of the screen—they're literally gibberish.
Continuity mistake: When Jake walks away at the beginning of the episode and the homeowner notices the butcher knife is gone, the way she has her hands resting on the moneybox changes between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Jake buys Chucky at the beginning of the episode, as it cuts back and forth between Jake's angle and the homeowner's angle, the way Jake is holding Chucky changes a few times. (Ex. In some shots, Jake is holding Chucky a few feet in front of him, in others he's holding Chucky right next to his chest, etc.)
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When the woman with the cut mouth is describing Chucky to Devon's mom, she asks, "Does he sound familiar?" and removes the rag from her mouth. It cuts to an over-the-shoulder shot, and you can see that the rag is back up by her mouth.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2

Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: When Chucky is walking around on the street in the "Hello Kitty" mask, you can tell it's someone in a costume, primarily because you can see a little bit of their (very fleshy) neck at the bottom of the mask a few times.
Answer: They were blamed for the death of Jake's foster brother, which was deemed a terrible accident, and they were sent to the reform school as a punishment. Presumably, when they had to leave the reform school given what happened, they were instead given community service as punishment.
