The Provocation - S1-E11

Continuity mistake: The kids who were not picked in the tryouts are standing in front of the trio that was selected. One of the kids, the one on the far right, has in some shots a maroon shirt, in the side view maroon shorts. In the shot when they are all grinning at Ishizaki, one with a celeste shirt has suddenly red hair. (00:01:35 - 00:03:00)

Other mistake: Misaki reminds Ishizaki about the next phase of the selection for the team. When he replies, someone drew eyelids on them, but the same color of the white of his eye. (00:02:30)

Continuity mistake: The first time we see the Shuutetsu trio in action, Teppei Kisugi shoots at goal. The ball's POV shows it is headed towards the left side of the goal, but then in the next shot the goal is scored to the right of the keeper. (00:03:40)

The Provocation - S1-E11

Continuity mistake: When Ishizaki is dribbling his friends who act as living posts, the one with the big unitooth and unibrow is wearing brown shorts in the first shot, then yells at him while wearing black ones. Less than a minute later Ishizaki gets angry because he can't take a break, and the same guy is sporting blue shorts. (00:04:40)

Other mistake: Talentless footballer Ryo Ishizaki juggles the ball with his foot when he's chilling riverside in a way that not even the most skilled pro in the world could pull off, not unless the ball was tied to an elastic string. He's bouncing it in a diagonal pattern just moving his ankle and somehow the ball pushed forward gets back to his foot each time. (00:06:05)

Continuity mistake: Genzo picks up his injury falling with other 3 players. Forgetting the clumsy fall not fitting someone of his caliber in an easy catch, they fall at the wrong angle, wrong position/distance from the goal, and in the close-up, the offender 's foot stomps Genzo's ankle almost perpendicularly from above, but it's an angle of impact incompatible with their fall. Factual error: The world record for high jump from professional adult athletes is barely above 2 meters when we do not consider the Fosbury flop. An 11 years old kid here nonchalantly leaps over the goal net (which is around 2 meters, close to two and half if they use a professional one, slightly less for junior matches), from a big distance and landing on his feet on top of the bar...and it's just an effortless transition before he does the REALLY impressive stuff. These kids are not supposed to be superhuman. (00:14:50)

Audio problem: When the tryout team is heading back home led by the Nankatsu trio, their lines (even in the original Japanese version) do not match the mouth movement at all (Misaki's is animated to open randomly, and Tsubasa's moves too frequently). (00:20:40)

Other mistake: The tryout match happens on a field with no audience at all. Hyuga just lies there on a bench without anyone saying anything to him. Both the coach and Misaki know who he is, but nobody noticed him when he was a hugely conspicuous presence. Of course his interference in the match is pure anime silliness; nobody bats an eyelid during his invasion, and he fetches the ball from the forward unnoticed, coming from the opposite goal area.

An Unfair Enemy - S1-E15

Trivia: Probably as a joke from an animator, there's a pig in attendance in the stadium. It appears in one shot, by Roberto Hongo when Tsubasa's mom calls for a hat-trick. (00:18:30)
