Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10

Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Character mistake: When Sue is brought out of surgery, her father can be seen wearing a watch. Surgeons don't wear watches or any other kind of jewelry when performing surgery, as they can't be sterilized and can also get in the way of gloves. (00:05:00)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When Sue is talking about her father going into hiding, the camera is on the right side of a photo album, showing a newspaper clipping of him being wanted for murder. When the shot changes, the contents of that page are now three different photographs. (00:07:32)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Factual error: After Super Skrull falls off the top of the Empire State Building, the slap of asphalt that the Fantastic Four were trapped on tips over, resulting in it and the heroes to fall to the ground as well. Reed uses his stretching powers to catch Super Skrull and then transform his body into a parachute in order to safely land, and Johnny uses his flight powers to hold onto Sue and Thing and slowly descend to the ground. Despite all this, the slab of asphalt doesn't crash to the ground until after everyone has landed safely, when it should have hit the ground long before they all landed. (00:11:57)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When Franklin Storm is returned to Earth, he is resting on his right arm. When the shot changes, he is resting on his left arm. (00:13:38)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When Franklin Storm is returned to Earth, he is wearing the same green prison uniform he was wearing when he was abducted. When he is lying dead on the street moments later, he is wearing a brown business suit. (00:13:39 - 00:14:35)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When Thing is saying "I'll call an ambulance," Sue is covering her face as she cries. When the shot changes, her hands are on the sides of her face. (00:13:52)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When Franklin Storm is telling his children not to cry, Sue is stroking his hair with her right hand. When the shot changes, her right hand is resting in front of her right leg. (00:14:08)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When Franklin Storm is dying, Reed is standing by his left foot, and Thing is standing by his right. A couple of shots later, Reed and Thing have swapped places. (00:14:16)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Revealing mistake: When the heroes are in the Fantasticar looking for the Skrulls, they fly by the same group of three buildings seven times, and from two opposing camera angles. (00:15:02)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Revealing mistake: When the Fantasticar is beamed to the Skrull home world, the edge of an animation cel is visible on the right side of the screen in the shot of the beam shooting out of Earth. (00:15:26)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When the heroes regroup by the Fantasticar after regaining their powers and taking out a few Skrulls, from the top going clockwise, it is Thing, Sue, Johnny, and Reed, and they are surrounded by Skrulls from all sides, with Morrat standing directly across from Johnny. A couple of shots later, from top going clockwise it is Johnny, Sue, Reed and Thing, and Morrat is now standing directly across from Sue. Additionally, the heroes are only now surrounded on their left and right, but not in front. (00:19:41)
Behold, a Distant Star - S2-E10
Continuity mistake: When the Skrull Emperor is stripping Morrat of his title and ordering him to be put in chains, they are standing a couple steps from each other. A few shots later, they are suddenly further away from each other. (00:19:48 - 00:20:15)
Answer: Gleaned from the Internet: Much of the negative reaction was due to the poor, simplistic, and outdated quality of the animation where the characters moved stiffly and clumsily through scenes. There were also some obvious animation compositing gaffs. The animation colors were also criticized as being overly bright and cheery and out of character to the established story's darker tone. The broad humor of the first season was replaced by a more mature narrative between the characters.
