Continuity mistake: When Roxanne says that everyone at the Training Academy can receive lectures from Professor Oak and her, Ash has his bag on and is 90 centimetres away from Roxanne, but in the next shot, he is 30 centimetres away and does not have his bag. Also, Pikachu's left forepaw is behind Ash's left shoulder, but in the next shot, it is in front of it. (00:05:53)

Continuity mistake: When Tommy quizzes Max on his information on Pokémon, a girl with red hair in a ponytail with white shirt is sitting behind him, but in the next shot, her shirt is yellow and has pink hair without a ponytail. Also, Max's body is facing the front of the classroom with his head not turned to Tommy, but in the next shot, his body faces to the left with his head facing Tommy. (00:07:00)

Continuity mistake: When Ash asks, "What are you talking about?" the left page May is on goes from having a rectangle that is four centimetres wide to having one that is two centimetres wide. Also, the lights on the ceiling move further apart between shots. (00:00:31)

Sorry, I misread the question. I thought you were asking "DOES" he dislike Ash, not Why. It's been a while since I've seen the full episode. But from what I recall, Pikachu was wild, and Ash caught him through unconventional means without a pokeball. Tying him up with rope and stuff. So that's a good reason for any animal to not like someone when forced into a captive state in such a way.
