Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
Question: Where did Sam get his piece of the Allspark? There was only one piece left - Optimus pulled it from Megatron's chest after he died and I'm assuming that is the piece that is under heavy guard at the military base, so where did Sam get his?
Answer: It was stuck in his sweater/hooded top. He makes mention of it on the phone with Mikeila. Obviously he hadn't worn it since the events of the first film. It dropped out when he was getting ready to pack it in his bag.

Terminator Salvation (2009)
Question: Why would the Skynet base where Connor obtains intelligence in the beginning have human friendly computers - i.e., computers with keyboards? Skynet does not need to type and look at a monitor, but can just communicate computer to computer.
Answer: It cannot be ruled out that there might be a human element to Skynet. This is hinted towards the end of the movie where Kyle notices human like figures in a window overlooking the collection of captives at the Skynet camp. We may learn more in the following Terminator movies (if they are made).

Lost (2004)
Question: Was Michelle Rodriquez always going to be written out at this point of the show or was it done because of her real life drunk driving conviction?
Chosen answer: In an interview/podcast the writers stated that they approached Michelle Rodriquez with clear intentions of having a "one season" part. They just never disclosed how/when her character was going out of the show.

X-Men 3 (2006)
Question: Instead of Magneto using the bridge to get his army to the island, why doesn't Jean/Phoenix simply fly them across with her advanced telekinesis?
Chosen answer: There are an infinite number of different ways Magneto and the army could have gotten onto the island. Yes, Jean using her telekinetic powers is one of them. However Magneto, throughout the 3 movies, is shown that he likes to make a statement to invoke fear in everyone. He wanted to start a fight just like in the other movies. Moving an entire bridge (unnecessarily) makes a huge statement.

Lost (2004)
Question: What was the point of this episode? The two main characters were bit parts in the episode prior at the swan station (I think it was the swan under the plane) and were never mentioned again. It seems like this episode was merely to make up the numbers.
Chosen answer: In an interview/podcast the writers admitted that they originally had grand plans for the two characters but decided against moving forward with them. This episode was to allow them to be "written out" of the show instead of just being ignored.

Lost (2004)
Question: Is there any relevance to the way the main characters' lives interacted before they crashed? E.g., Ana Lucia hitting Sawyer with a car door, Hurley owning the box company Locke worked for, Shannon reporting Sayid at the airport, Charlie saving Nadia from a mugger or Desmond getting a boat from Libby? (There are numerous others.) Is there a grand plan or is it just to add a bit of mystery which means nothing?
Chosen answer: SPOILER ALERT. In a word YES. As seen in the finale of season 5, Jacob is seen visiting the main characters well before and after the events of the island. The whole show continues to show the connections between the characters. This seems to hint that the plane crash on the island was "meant to happen".

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
Question: I don't understand the explanation John gives when he says that if the other terminator in T2 hadn't intervened, he would've met Catherine.
Answer: It's another reference to the fact that Judgment Day is inevitable. When they changed/prevented one possible future scenario (T2) they created another (as explained in T3 where they simply delayed Judgment Day). In other words, Catherine's father was always going to be responsible for creating Skynet and the killing of Miles Dyson only "delayed" that scenario. If the events of T2 had not happened, John would have met Catherine sooner and would have met the "real" person behind "Skynet".

Question: Instead of using his powers to rip open the train, why couldn't Magneto simply stop the train and open the door to get on? Surely a lot simpler?
Chosen answer: He was making a statement. So the everyone inside the train carriage would take him seriously. If some random guy walked into my train carriage in a silly suit and helmet, I'd probably just laugh at him. If the train carriage was ripped open and I saw a guy fly in, I'd probably take him a little more seriously.

Transformers (2007)
Question: Why does Ironhide transform in the final battle just to say "It's Starscream!"? As far as i know, from wathing the series 'Cybertron' they can talk in vehicle mode. Of course no one would think this is weird, they already know that they can turn into giant robots, if that's not already weird enough.
Answer: He transforms into robot mode so he (and Bumblebee) can pick up the truck to protect the group from the imminent attack from Starscream.

Transformers (2007)
Question: How did Bumblebee regain the ability to talk?
Answer: Its never properly explained during the movie. It would have most likely have happened when he came in contact with the Cube. Just like when Frenzy came in contact with it, he was able to "rebuild" himself back to his original form (after being hacked up by Sam and Mikela). Bumblebee being the good soldier that he was waiting until for the right "time to speak".

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)
Question: Near the end of the film, when McClane, his daughter Lucy, and the hacker Matt Farrell are about to leave in the ambulance, there is a sign with the number 5 hanging out of a warehouse in the background - does this mean there will be a Die Hard 5?
Chosen answer: Looks like a standard 5 mph speed sign to me. You can't read too much into that. In addition though, Bruce Willis has already stated in a few interviews that he'd be more than happy to do another one.

Lost (2004)
Question: In the season 3 finale, "Through the Looking Glass", why didn't Charlie just go out of the room and shut the door from the outside instead, then both he and Desmond would've survived? It just seems like such a strange decision.
Answer: The room could only be sealed from the inside. It was a split second decision he had to make. Perhaps he had already accepted his fate as predicted by Desmond. He also must have known that Desmond would have wanted to speak to Penny thus he wanted to prevent Desmond from endangering himself. Better one person die than both.

Casino Royale (2006)
Question: I feel like the "Ellipsis" text message the suspected bomb-maker Molloka receives and the one that Carlos the terrorist receives at the Body exhibit are the same text. I thought the date at the top of each was the same, first when Molloka receives the text in the beginning of the film (and when James traces this call to Dimitrios in the Bahamas) and again when James is leaving the Body exhibit and calls Carlos on Dimitrios' phone. (I seem to remember the date as June 6 in each instance). Yet this isn't possible since Le Chiffre must have sent them at different times because didn't he hire Carlos after Molloka was killed? Am I just getting my facts confused? Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Yes both text messages have the same time and date. Most new phones have the ability to send the same text message to multiple recipients at the same time. My understanding is that they both could have been hired to blow up the plane, Carlos to act as a security guard (or airport cop) to help Molloka plant a bomb. That's probably why they both were given the "code" to the door so that they could meet up inside. Once Molloka was killed, Carlos must have been informed to blow up the plane by another means or even given the new device.
Aren't both of them hired through Dimitrios anyway? On the yacht, he tells Le Chiffre he has someone else line down up for the job. Not sure how this factors in.

Back to the Future Part II (1989)
Question: I never really understood at the end of this film why exactly Doc Brown goes back to 1885. Doesn't the DeLorean have to be going 88 mph for it to activate the system? The Doc was just hovering over Marty, so why did the time circuits automatically kick in?
Answer: If you look carefully, Doc accidentally knocks the time circuits on when trying to keep the DeLorean stable. When Doc and Marty were leaving the alternate 1985, we see that the time circuits were failing/faulty. So when the lightning struck the DeLorean, the time circuits were already on and with the equipment faulty, Doc was sent back in time. The DeLorean flips (possibly due to the flight circuits being hit by lightning) and the car accelerates to 88 MPH.

The Island (2005)
Question: Why make a whole adult just to give birth to a baby? Why not just make a baby in the first place? We know they can adjust the clones' age. Come to that, why was Lima killed right after she gave birth? Her body would still be fine for organs and parts should her sponsor need them.
Chosen answer: The company claims to have the ablity to create organs for their clients. They most likely claimed that they can create babies too. They did not want anyone to know that they are allowing the clones to "live" let alone one to carry a baby. Lima was killed becuase they wanted to conceal this secret. Besides, if their client wants new organs, I guess they'll make her pay for another insurance policy.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Question: At the end of the film, how does the ship carrying the adult and the juvenile T-rexes get from San Diego back to the island off Costa Rica without a pilot and crew? It seems to just sail away on its own. Did I miss something?
Chosen answer: Once Sarah and Ian trap the T-rex back into the "cargo hold", we never see the ship sail away on its own. It couldn't do so. The ship crashed into the dock, it would have taken days for them to free the ship - plenty of time to get a new crew. Notice how when they are watching the TV at the end, how clean everyone is?
