Other mistake: At the end of the episode, when 51's guys are in the kitchen waiting to see the "terrific idea", in the closeup John presses the tape recorder's third white button to play it, and we hear the dispatcher's voice, but in the next shot we continue to hear the dispatcher saying, "1305 Overland Ave, apt C, cross street, Pacific..." despite the fact that we can see all the white buttons are now up, none are actually depressed.

Cook's Tour - S1-E4
Other mistake: When Johnny and Roy are with the man who was electrocuted in his house, after they start the IV, Johnny says that he's going to get blankets, so he walks out the door then turns left and walks off. It's funny because the squad is parked on the street, which is to the right of the door, and the only thing to the left is the garage. Then Johnny comes back, again from the left of the doorway, with a package of the yellow blanket from the squad.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After Roy has found the location of the boy trapped in the collapsed building, Captain Hammer gets on the handy-talkie and says "Engine 51, Stoker," but oddly enough the subtitles read, "Agent 51, Stoker." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After being dispatched to the heart attack, when John and Roy have cardioverted the V-fib Brackett asks for another EKG strip, and when Brackett lifts the chart paper to read it, it just shows flatlining, no rhythm whatsoever.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: There are two specific pieces of stock footage used from season 3 onward, when the camera faces the fire station, it shows either just Squad 51, or both Squad 51 and Engine 51 pulling out of the apparatus bay, then turning left (viewer's right) onto E 223rd St, and the real Station 127's Truck 127 can be seen parked in the side driveway. Examples are: In season 6, "The Exam", when Squad 51 responds to Molly's phone call, and in "Hypochondri-Cap", when Station 51 is dispatched to an 'unconscious female in a car'.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After Station 51 arrives at the structure fire, Captain Stanley tells Mike to get water to their lines (charging the two lines) and then mule the supply line back to the hydrant. When Marco and Chet get the two lines, they head to the house with Captain Stanley and start hosing the fire down with charged lines. A few shots later, we see Mike going to the back of Engine 51, and the two lines that Chet, Marco, and Cap have been using are flat and not even charged yet.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After Battalion Chief tells Squad 51 to go to the elevator shaft, when Roy, Johnny and Jason enter the building, the DVD subtitles read that Captain Stanley says "Here, the elevator, it's jammed," when in fact it's the Battalion Chief who says that - Captain Stanley is not even with them. Additionally, Johnny asks, "Is somebody in here, Cap?" even though he's addressing the Battalion Chief, not Captain Stanley. Then it's Roy who asks for the oxygen, but subtitles read that Johnny asks for it.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When the dispatcher drops tones for the structure fire, he calls on Station 51, Engine 27, Engine 32, and Truck 105. Once there, Captain Stanley tells the dispatcher to send a second alarm, then hear him call on Station 19, Truck 98, Truck 34, and Battalion 43. However, the only ones at the fire with 51 are Engine 9, Engine 17, Truck 17, and two men with helmets from 20, even though dispatch did not call on any of them, and of all the companies that were called to the fire, none were there, except for 51.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After the apartment house fire, the restored old engine is trashed by a hail of bricks. Later, when Roy and Johnny are talking about who won the first prize, The Old Engine in the back looks nothing like it did when it was wrecked on the street. Also, the shot of The Old Engine that's shown here, is actually the same footage shown in season 3, "The Old Engine", with the lighting dimmed to signify nighttime, when at the end of the episode Roy and Johnny decide to keep it. Note the exact same broken pieces of windshield, tires, hubcaps, dirt, shadows, everything.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Brackett tells Johnny and Roy to contact the animal shelter via the disaster net, Roy asks the Animal Control guys for their disaster call, and it's given as 3-9-9-7-7-1-1, but in the closeup Roy presses channel 8 then punches in 4-2-1-6-5-3-7 on the scanner. Additionally, this model Regency Monitoradio / Executive Scanner Receiver has 8 channels, so it would have been impossible to press 9, as was stated by Dave.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When the dispatcher sends Squad 51 on the probable overdose run, the address given is 2267 West Hill, apt 6, but when Roy and Johnny are at the door, both entering and exiting, the house number above the stairs is 11044.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After the officer hands Les the tranquilizer gun, Les asks which way the tiger went and the officer responds, "Down that aisle," and we see both men, who are standing right beside the self-serve ice cream freezer, moving slowly towards the aisle in front of that ice cream freezer. The problem is that in the next shot, we see the large tiger coming from that exact area in front of the ice cream freezer, as he walks toward the camera on the other end of the aisle. This means that the Bengal tiger, Les, and the officer would have all been standing in the very same spot, at the same time.

Welcome to Santa Rosa County - S6-E10
Other mistake: When Roy and Johnny begin their ascent, the injured rock climbers are shown in a closeup, which then zooms out so we can see the entire area to the left, and the only rope up there is the boys' red rope. When Johnny reaches the boys, he's pulling himself up with the help of a blue rope, which has already been anchored in place near the injured boys. So who put it up there and anchored it? Not the injured boys. Not Johnny. Not Roy, who is still down below.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Engine 51 pulls up to the hotel with the injured man dangling from the hotel sign, Captain Stanley addresses Chet and says, "Chet, Roy and John'll need a line," but the subtitles read, "See that? Roy and Dan'll need a line, " even though there isn't anyone named Dan. Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When the tones drop and Station 51 is dispatched to a "man injured", there is a closeup of the guys running from the kitchen into the apparatus bay, heading for the squad and engine, and none of them are actually 51's guys.

Other mistake: During the fire at the chemical plant, when Captain Stanley and Roy find the missing man and carry him out, the subtitles read that Johnny says "All right, grab his feet," when in fact it's Captain Stanley who says that - Johnny's not even in the same room with them. Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Propinquity - S3-E20
Other mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the traffic accident, while en route first we see Engine 51 with nobody on the back, but then we see two firemen standing at the back, and they are Johnny and Roy. This footage is from the episode "The Old Engine" in season 3, when Station 51 got the new Ward La France engine, and since the previous shift was still out with the squad, Cap told Roy and Johnny to jump on the back and join them on their first run with the new engine.

Inventions - S3-E22
Other mistake: After Johnny and Roy are seen carrying the semi-conscious worker during the chemical leak, Captain Stanley tells Mike to get the life gun, and tells Chet to secure a lifeline, then before he mentions getting the guys from the catwalk via the lifeline, we hear Captain Stanley tell the Battalion Chief (into his handie-talkie), "Battalion 14, Engine 41," even though he's Engine 51, not 41. Additionally, when Cap tells Chet about the lifeline, two firemen behind Chet are wearing helmets with no company numbers on them.
