Continuity mistake: Masterson spits on the glass while Frank talks to him. The spit pattern changes at least once during the scene. Check the lines running down the glass.

Continuity mistake: After Joshua is leaving Hunsaker's home after killing him, he is talking to Peter on a mobile phone and it is nearly dark. In Peter's scene in the car, the sun is still up and it is late afternoon/early evening. They are both in the same city.

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film as the shields come down, the jets start firing missiles at the ship. There is a shot of Randy Quaid's son walking through the control room at Area 51. Notice in the background, the lights are blinking on and off. The alien ship hasn't fired it's main weapon yet. Once it does they show the lights flickering off and on in the control room. These scenes are several minutes apart.

Continuity mistake: The pattern of shaving cream on Roy's face changes during the scene in which he gets fired.

Continuity mistake: The sky at the end changes several times from being cloudy to clear. Look at the reflection of it when Willy comes over to Jessie in the water. The next shot is cloudy. The jump scene is clear, and then it is sunny.

Continuity mistake: Minnie Driver helps Christian Slater escape from the prison by unscrewing a metal cage. Right before she is finished unscrewing there is an underwater shot of the cage already broken through. Cut to the next shot and she frees the cage again.

Continuity mistake: When the kids burst into the house party there are two shots of them flooding in. In the second shot there are kids already on the stairs partying.

Continuity mistake: In the scene when the IRS man attempts to pry open John's door, he gets one board slightly off. In the overhead shot, the board is completely off and on the ground.

Continuity mistake: During the beginning of the chase sequence, Marty is hanging on to a rope and there is a rear facing shot looking at him. There are two wet tire tracks in the shot. These disappear in the following shots.

Continuity mistake: Bash takes his shirt off revealing the wound on his right arm. He starts wrapping it again with cloth and the scene cuts to Kenna. It cuts back quickly to Bash and his bandage is fully tied. There is no way he could accomplish this one handed.

Continuity mistake: When Keanu is pulling onto the freeway in his jeep, he starts honking his horn. The actor isn't pressing the horn in the wide shot. When we see Keanu from the front he is.

Continuity mistake: The drawing image of the killer loads twice on the computer. You can see it start to load in the first shot which is closer. In the very next shot it loads from nothing again.

The List - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: Later in the episode a man bangs on an air conditioner to try and stop it from making noise. In the first scene you can tell air is moving because the streamers are moving. After he bangs on the unit the streamers stop moving. The air conditioner is still on. (00:32:30)

Continuity mistake: After Burt reports on the radio that he has killed the graboid in his basement, there are shots of the towns people celebrating. The sky behind all of them is different, specifically the mother and her daughter. In other shots there is blue sky. In these shots there are darker clouds.

Continuity mistake: When George is introduced with Laura, a lady tells someone grilling what to cook. Bush puts a finger in his ear because it's loud. The shot flips to the other side and his hands are down.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning when the hijackers are trying to take off at the airport there is a shot where the plane goes over some emergency vehicles (before it takes off). These vehicles disappear in the following shot when the plane hits the tree branches. Also, a taxiing jet would've blown the vehicles and people around. Nothing of the sort happens in that scene.

Continuity mistake: Kilgore is talking about how he wants to surf the beach. The lighting changes significantly in the space of seconds from the shots of the surf to the shots of the fighting. The shots of the surf are later in the day while the angle of the sun in the fighting shots is higher indicating afternoon.

Continuity mistake: When Clark falls off the roof, the staple gun goes down before him. In the next shot, it's not heading down from his point of view.

Continuity mistake: When Pete and Elliott return to their hideout after the ordeal on the truck is over, it is dark. Moments later when Bryce Dallas Howard arrives, there is a lot more light coming in through the trees and the scene looks brighter. This is in the space of five minutes or less.
