Continuity mistake: When they first step up to the tree in the forest, Audrey is still moving. In the overhead shot, she stops, and we can see tracks in the snow where all four have been standing. The problem is, there are a lot of tracks. We're lead to believe they just walked up to the tree.

Continuity mistake: The first time Clark fails with the lights, Ellen's mother says she hopes the kids see what a waste of resources it is. During this scene the level of her martini changes.

Continuity mistake: When Clark falls off the roof, the staple gun goes down before him. In the next shot, it's not heading down from his point of view.

Visible crew/equipment: Just as Clark begins his explosive argument, there is a shot of the family watching in horror, and the top of the set is visible at the top of the frame.

Audio problem: During dinner on Christmas Eve there is a shot of the cat chewing on Christmas lights. The sound of the cat chewing is a fraction of a second off.

Revealing mistake: After Clark cuts the rope on the large tree, it spreads out and branches start breaking windows. One of the branches has a pole of some type pushing it through the window.

Continuity mistake: After the tree burns up from Uncle Lewis' stogie, he turns around revealing fire on his back. Right as he is turning, the shot cuts to Clark and back to Lewis. In this new shot, Lewis' hair is different (compare the wigs), indicating the person getting the fire on his back put out is a stunt person.

Continuity mistake: Less than a day after the ice breaks the neighbors' window, it has fixed itself in the outside shots as Clark is stuck in the attic.
