Plot hole: Rick is taking care of his girlfriend's goat for a few days. He puts a bowl of milk on the floor, but The Goat will not drink. Harriet suggests, "We're probably just using the wrong method." The next scene shows Ozzie at the stove, heating milk in a baby bottle. Rick is 22 years old. Why would Ozzie and Harriet still have a baby bottle in the house?

Character mistake: Rick and his girlfriend are enjoying a picnic in the woods when a baby goat wanders by. Rick says, "He looks hungry. Seen any tin cans around?" Peggy replies, "I don't think they eat tin cans until they're older." Goats will eat the labels of cans but they do not eat the cans.

Other mistake: When the Harris family moves into an apartment across the hall from David and June Nelson, their 14-year-old daughter, Betty, develops a crush on David. When David and June step out onto their outdoor patio, they see Betty watching them from her own patio. This could not be possible.

Other mistake: As Clara and Harriet are driving home from an antique store, the car runs out of gas. In the close-ups, the car has no windshield.

Other mistake: A crewman tells the ship's captain he knows there are four stowaways because he heard them singing "Sweet Adeline," a popular barbershop quartet song. Harpo never spoke in any of the Marx Brothers films. The crewman could not have heard four voices.

Continuity mistake: "Rusty Romeos," a 1957 short co-starring Joe Besser, is a remake of "Corny Casanovas," a 1952 short co-starring Shemp Howard. In a scene using stock footage from the earlier film, Moe and Larry are fighting, and a framed photo of Shemp is on a small table next to the couch. Other mistake: Gene Autry is chasing Mack Healy and his outlaw gang, who are using Jim Decker's house and mine as a base of operations. Healy gives Decker a rifle and tells him they're being followed by a "claim jumper." Healy says there are seven bullets in the gun. When Autry rides into view, Decker begins shooting. Continuity mistake: In "Disorder In The Court" (1936), Curly is trying to catch a parrot flying near the jury box. He tries to hit the bird with a mallet but winds up knocking out the six jurors in the front row. Moe drags Curly away, but suddenly the six jurors in the back row also appear to be knocked out.
