Factual error: Several scenes in the movie show the tidal waves and tsunamis sweeping people and objects away, which is utter fantasy. The air pressure wave that is in front of the tidal waves and tsunamis would blow people and objects away long before the water did.

Continuity mistake: When Milo and Bobby are eating and drinking in the diner, the level of the Coke in Bobby's bottle, and the level of the beer in Milo's glass differs from shot to shot.

Trivia: It's not an accident that Wisconsin was chosen as the new South Pole in the movie, its position being 44N/90W, 44 being a number that Roland Emmerich tries to sneak into every movie he makes since his 'Moon 44' days. (01:37:25)

Continuity mistake: When the RV camper van lands after its jump on the runway, you can see the steering gear and passenger front wheel has collapsed. In the next shot when Jackson enters the camper to retrieve the map, you can see the wheel is fine, and then its damaged again in the next long shot.

Factual error: Air Force One is still complete when it strikes Ark 4 which is simply not possible. The aircraft would have been obliterated by the air pressure wave and the resulting huge tidal wave that hit it, so that only debris would have hit the Ark, certainly not the complete intact aircraft we saw. Continuity mistake: When the biker bar blows up, you get to see an orange blossom explosion behind Woody as he rides away, which then dissipates into a black cloud. Camera now cuts immediately to one of the side mirrors on Woody's bike and the explosion is now orange again.

Continuity mistake: When Anna is left on the beach by the fishing boat, you can see the boat is directly in line with her as it leaves. In the next shot however, the fishing boat is now significantly to the left of her, having not had the time to achieve it.

Continuity mistake: When Declan is having his whiskey poured at the table with the Italian couple, his arms are crossed in front of him, but when the camera cuts to a wider shot, his right arm is now by his side. Camera cuts back to closeup and his arms are folded again.

Other mistake: The fireball that consumes the corridor with Selina and Wolf was incredibly sizeable, sizeable enough that it destroys the motorbike, but Selina's long hair doesn't even get singed.

Continuity mistake: When Selina and Wolf leave on the motorbike to get away from Gordy, you can see a tyre mark is left on the floor, but when the camera changes shot to show Gordy entering the corridor, the tyre track has gone.

Continuity mistake: When Selina kills the female FBI agent in the bathroom, the camera looks down at the dead agent from Selina's POV and the agents head is tilted to the side. When Selina moves off, you can see in the background the agents head is now facing up.

Continuity mistake: When Mclane is desperately trying to get his fallen Beretta from the conveyor, he flicks the on switch to the conveyor. The terrorist then sprints down the conveyor to try and get the gun before Mclane, and you can see in the first shot of the terrorist running, that he is virtually at the gun immediately. The camera cuts to Mclane, and then back to the terrorist who is now significantly further away from the gun than he was before.

Continuity mistake: When Gadget gets thrown through the Men's Room door, it smashes to pieces and his toilet brush attachment is replaced by a rubber glove. On the newspaper front page, it now shows the Men's Room door is no longer destroyed, and the toilet brush attachment is now on his hand instead of the rubber glove.

Other mistake: When G2 applies lipstick after her torso rejoins with her legs, you can see that the lipstick never actually touches her lips.

Continuity mistake: In the episode where they overhaul a 1976 blue van, there is a shot of the white donor van being carted away. Yet later on in the same episode, the white donor van is back in the workshop.

Trivia: The lead character Kick Ass AKA Dave Lizewski got his 'real' name in response to a competition held to give Kick Ass his alter ego. Not surprisingly, the person who won the competition is also called Dave Lizewski and opted to use his own name.

Continuity mistake: When the Saab 900 car is destroyed by the Harvester, it already has momentum and you can see whats left of the car thrown in an arc into the air. When it lands however, it simply drops vertically, which it wouldn't do, it should have fallen in a decreasing arc. (00:38:25)

Other mistake: Franks Audi smashes through the steel barrier on the bridge. Whilst we can accept the bodywork is toughened up and is bulletproof, its a plastic front bumper, plastic grille, glass/plastic headlights, yet there isn't even a scratch on either of these items after the car is seen driving after its pulled from the river after smashing through said STEEL barrier. The barrier would be particularly strengthened to attempt to prevent such a maneuver that Frank performed.
