Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk Goes Back to School - S2-E1

Corrected entry: When Monk is leaving Derek Philby's classroom, he dots the "I" in "REMINDER" on the blackboard. However, the word was in capital letters, so the "I" needn't have been dotted. Monk wouldn't make this mistake. (And the word is written in plain block sans-serif letters, so he's not adding a missing line: he's definitely dotting the capital I.)

Blibbetyblip

Correction: Not all the letters in the word reminder were capitalized. It was written "ReMiNDER."

Correction: You don't have to be alone with a rock to make a replica! A good set of photos will do the job just as well.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: I saw the entire season 1 of Family Guy again and all the episodes, the word "fictitious" shown on the disclaimer in the credits is spelled correctly.

iGregory

That's dedication. Not watching the episode, watching the credits.

Correction: The equation ( 1 1/2a 3=1/8 )stays the same throughout.

Correction: It's not unsual to have multiple instances of the same machine in an arcade.

Monk (2002)

Correction: In this episode it isn't that he is afraid of elevators, but he notices that the floor of the elevator car doesn't line up properly with the floor of the room, and is thus "crooked" and "unsafe." This is why he insists on taking the stairs.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: There are several possible explanations to this, the most likely one that the teacher had simply switched schools. Maybe he got a new job, or maybe he was a substitute who filled different positions at different times.

Twotall

Correction: So? Coming from another country doesn't automatically mean a deep accent.

Grumpy Scot

Correction: He definitely has an Australian accent. American actor James Coburn wasn't perfect, but one can definitely tell it is supposed to be Australian.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: This is a very common technique used in animation to save the animators time and effort. It can't really be classified as a mistake.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: This is the introduction to the show. It is not supposed to have continuity. Why would a regular family have showgirls and an enormous staircase either?

The Incredibles (2004)

Corrected entry: At the wedding, when Bob says "You have to be more flexible", Helen is holding her bouquet of flowers up, but in the next shot, the bouquet is nowhere to be seen. (00:09:20)

Blibbetyblip

Correction: The shot you're referring to is a close-up of Helen's face. The bouquet is out of shot.

Corrected entry: A heavenly beam of light falls on the bike that Homer uses to ride up the dome, but the bike wasn't there in previous shots. (01:07:45)

Blibbetyblip

Correction: The bike is out of shot.

Corrected entry: The chocolate river is obviously just brown water, it is the wrong texture for melted chocolate or even chocolate milk.

Blibbetyblip

Correction: As we don't know what Wonka's formulas or processes are we can't say with certainty that the fluid in that river is not chocolate. If Wonka can make a candy that never dissolves as you suck on it, certainly he could lower the viscosity of chocolate to make it easier to churn.

X-Men 3 (2006)

Corrected entry: In the opening scene at Jean Grey's house, we see the water from the hose going up, but neither Magneto nor Xavier has the power to do this: Magneto can control metal and Xavier is a telepath.

Blibbetyblip

Correction: Neither Xavier nor Magneto are doing anything in this scene, it's all Jean Grey. And SHE has no problem using telekinesis.

Monk (2002)

Correction: Not so. It is at the discretion of both the Prosecuting and Defense Attorney whom they seat on the jury and whom they excuse, taking into consideration the type of trial, nature of the offense and credibility of the juror. My father is a retired police officer and was called for jury duty and seated three times during and after his tenure with the police department.

Correction: Implied is different from being fact. It is important to either show clear evidence or prove the contradiction.

Lummie

Corrected entry: Sean Bean's contract was for all three films. That is why we see flashbacks of Boromir in this movie (Pippin remembering Boromir's death in Denethor's hall) and 'The Two Towers' (Boromir restraining Frodo at the Bridge of Khazad-Dum). In the Extended Editions, new footage of Boromir is seen in both films (Denethor hallucinating a vision of Boromir in this film and Boromir commanding his troops at Osgiliath in 'The Two Towers').

Blibbetyblip

Correction: The scenes had nothing to do with Sean Bean's contract. An actor's contract specifies that he will be paid for the work he does, not that the footage will be used in the final film. An example is Christopher Lee, whose contract was for all three films, but who was cut out of the third film entirely.

Corrected entry: Bill the Pony is nowhere to be seen when they are climbing the mountain, but he is back when they reach the gates of Moria.

Blibbetyblip

Correction: Bill is tagging along in all the scenes between Rivendell and Moria. Often at the back of the Fellowship, but he is there.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: He wouldn't necessarily need to say it. Chris could have mentioned to Kyle earlier that his father is named Peter.
