Trivia: All the flashing images in the Marvel logo at the beginning (you need to freeze-frame to see them properly) are from the X-men comics and have at least some relevance to this movie's plot.

Easter egg: On the Region 4 (and possibly other regions) DVD, the deleted scenes are different depending on whether you choose 'Join the Brotherhood' or 'Take a Stand', so try both.

Continuity mistake: When Wolverine approaches Xavier's grave, the shadow of his head falls onto the grave. Then, after Jean has stopped telepathically speaking to him, the shadow of his head is left of the grave, even though Wolverine is in the same position. There was not enough time for his shadow to have moved that much.

Factual error: When Magneto has moved the Golden Gate Bridge, we see the President looking at a Satellite Image of Magneto's work. In this image, Alcatraz Island is bigger and closer to the shore than it is in real life.
