Safety First - S2-E6

Factual error: When Helen tells Laura she's trying to quit all the pills that she takes to deal with Gordon, she starts listing them off. "The Valium, the Diazepam, the Librium..." Valium and Diazepam are the same thing. (Valium's the brand, Diazepam's the generic). (00:08:20)

Suggested correction: And Helen might not know that and think they are different pills.

Ssiscool

Anyone on those pills knows exactly what they are.

The_Iceman

Usually true in real life but this show exaggerates things for comedy. The writers probably genuinely made the mistake but it is still plausible that Helen is that messed up.

If you're on these meds, you know this stuff. Like how people on Percocet know that its generic is Oxycodone.

Mona Lisa's Revenge (1) - S3-E10

Other mistake: Mr. Smith scans the Mona Lisa and determines that it is genuine from DaVinci's brush strokes. He should have also noticed the words "This is a fake" written in felt tip under the paint, from when The Doctor replaced the Mona Lisa with one of DaVinci's "forgeries" in "City of Death."

Dirk Gently (2012)

Pilot - S1-E1

Factual error: When Susan is sorting Ruth's things, she finds Gordon's iPhone wrapped in a newspaper from 1994 with her voice-mail to him and realizes he went back in time, where Ruth killed him and took the phone from his corpse. Even if the phone had been turned off, after 16 years idle, the battery would have died long ago, but we see the phone is on with her message waiting. (00:55:50 - 00:56:45)

Doctor Who (2005)

The Eleventh Hour - S5-E1

Other mistake: When the Doctor tells the Atraxi "Oh, you're not the first lot to have come here, there have been so many," one of the monsters shown from their scan of Earth is a group of Ood. Even if in one of their uprisings they attacked the Earth, it would have been in the far future. The Doctor has had no encounters with them on Earth, and he knows them to be peaceful, so why would they be amongst the aliens who have threatened the planet? The only Ood who has been to Earth at this point is Ood Sigma, and he didn't come to attack. In addition, a group of Hath is also shown. These aliens have never been seen on Earth at all. (00:53:30)

Trivia: The Doctor comes to Nevada in search of "A bowl of chili. The sort you only ever got in an American diner before 1962." During the 1960s, Chasen's Restaurant in Hollywood made a chili that became highly sought-after by celebrities (Elizabeth Taylor had some flown to Rome when she was making "Cleopatra."). Diners started changing their chili recipes in attempts to duplicate Chasen's secret recipe. This is why The Doctor had to go back to the 1950s in search of a bowl of old-fashioned American chili. The Frozen Ground (2013)

Factual error: When Halcombe and Gentile are walking down 4th Avenue, behind them can be seen the 5th Avenue Mall Parking Garage and the skybridge to the mall, both of which were built in 1987, 4 years after the film takes place. (00:15:20)

The Frozen Ground (2013)

Factual error: Halcombe takes a left turn to park in the parking lot of the Army/Navy Surplus store on 4th Avenue. This means he was approaching from C Street, which is a one way street in the opposite direction between 4th and 5th Avenue. (00:15:00)

The Frozen Ground (2013)

Factual error: Hansen's Bakery is across the street from a Chevron Food Mart. Not only did Chevron Food Marts not exist in the 80s, but the real Hansen's Bakery was on the corner of 9th and Ingra. There was (and still is) a wooded lot across the street from it. The nearest Chevron Food Mart is on 5th and Ingra, four blocks away. (00:12:45 - 00:13:00)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Badge - S8-E14

Character mistake: When Monk is talking to the cops on the shooting range about the window washer's story, he says that the window washer said he was on the 7th story of the building. But in the press conference Monk saw in the bar, he said he was on the 6th story. Monk isn't likely to forget a detail like that, especially since it's the detail that's bothering him about the story. (00:19:25)

Mr. Monk Stays in Bed - S4-E3

Plot hole: When Stottlemeyer and the other cops arrive at the recycling center, the patrol car's siren turns on and off. The killer had said to Monk that if he called the cops, he'd kill Natalie. Coming to a hostage situation with the siren going would be a really bad idea. (00:37:45)
