Continuity mistake: In this episode, a "Spirit Post" is placed in the middle of the compound, later removed, then replaced at the end of the episode. It is never seen again after that.
Suggested correction: It was probably left behind during one of the bug outs that happen. We have seen at least 2 in the series.

Continuity mistake: As Mulcahy enters and is introduced by Potter, he assumes the podium, and clasps his hands behind his back. A second later, his arms are by his sides.

Continuity mistake: Charles and the G.I. lay waiting for an explosion. When the last mortar hits, the explosion is just to the left of the back tire, the jeep is untouched. After a cut, the jeep is trashed and burning.

Revealing mistake: In the closing scene, as the camera looks at the collected crowd, the camo net over the building poorly hides the edge of the "sky" background and the sound stage walls.

Continuity mistake: As the men are sneaking by the tents, Hawkeye's voice is heard coming from a tent with opaque windows. A minute later in all the commotion, he's seen coming out of the Swamp.

Trivia: In this episode, Mulcahy has trouble playing a piece on the piano. In other episodes, he played much better. In truth, William Christopher was an accomplished pianist that played "mean ragtime."

Other mistake: After pulling out of the camp to head for the cave, The Bus is shown from several angles. Even though it's loaded, the shots of it travelling are re-used shots from an earlier episode, and the place it stops is a re-used shot from the episode "Rainbow Bridge"

Other mistake: In this episode Max is wearing a red bandanna that he says "My mom gave me this when I shipped out. She said never take it off." However, in no episode before or after this does this good luck charm appear.

Continuity mistake: In the storage tent, between wide shots and close ups, the rank insignia on Blake's hat goes from centered to over his right eye and back a few times.

Other mistake: Hawkeye loosened the nut and locking ring, but after lifting the assembly, it was obvious that these were steps used only to heighten tension. There was no locking device of any kind between the tail and body of the bomb.

Trivia: Three bits of trivia. (1) The game was total fiction, with a final score of Navy 42, Army 36. No Army-Navy game has ended with that score. (2) The radio announcer says it is the 53rd Army-Navy game. The 53rd game was played in 1952, with Navy winning 7-0. (3) Though not named in the credits, host Tom Kennedy was the voice of the radio commentator, a fact he confirmed in an interview in 2003.

Other mistake: After Klinger gives the long johns to Mulcahy, he "disappears." But if you look closely through the camo net, you can see him in the shadows of the background.

Continuity mistake: At the end, Casey comes over to say good bye to Hawkeye. As he stands there, the glasses he wears go from round, speckled-brown frames to silver oval, and back.

Revealing mistake: As Buzz is stopped at the tent door by Hawkeye and Trapper, the vertical edge of the "sky" is seen over the top of the hospital building, behind the camo net.

Audio problem: The original "gin machine" is entirely metal, but when Frank throws it on the floor, you hear porcelain breaking.

Factual error: As Hawkeye, Radar' and BJ stop to change the flat, Hawkeye uses a scissor jack to raise the Jeep. However, the scissor jack was not in use for this model of Jeep.
