Stupidity: Friend Request: Michael sneaks into LifeInvader as an IT temp so that he can plant an explosive, which he is carrying in a blue bag, into the prototype mobile that Jay Norris is going to use. He leaves the blue bag, evidence tying him to the explosive, in the LifeInvader building.

Continuity mistake: Casing the Jewel Store: Lester has a series of photos in his hand. He takes one and pins it on the left hand side of the cork board. The shot cuts to Michael, but when the shot cuts again, there are now multiple photos pinned to the left side of the cork board.

Continuity mistake: Casing the Jewel Store: When Lester sticks the second photo to the cork board, he presses the photo against the board and it just sticks there. First, there is nothing sticking the photo to the board, it just sticks to it on its own. Second, a few shots after, a piece of tape is seen on the photo that was not there when he stuck it.

Continuity mistake: Casing the Jewel Store: When Lester sticks the final photo to the cork board, an error occurs with the pictures when Michael walks in front of it. The last photo that Lester sticks on the board is one photo with nothing sticking it, but Michael then walks in front of it, and multiple photos and a piece of tape above it suddenly pop-up on screen.

Continuity mistake: The Jewel Store Job (Smart Approach): After stealing the jewels, Michael heads for the exit. Just before Michael makes it through the front door, Franklin is seen talking to a police officer who has his arms by his side. The cutscene then starts playing where the police officer suddenly has his arms raised.

Continuity mistake: Prologue: Michael and Brad starting talking after escaping the bank and Trevor shouts to stop them. When the shot is on Trevor, the outside of the car can be seen through the back window, and it is driving on the right side of the road. The shot then cuts to an exterior angle behind the car, where the car is driving on the left side of the road.

Continuity mistake: Prologue: After Michael and Brad have been shot and the three extra police cars arrive, Trevor turns around and notices a woman standing in the far background. The woman is standing out of the shadow, but when the shot cuts to a closer shot, she is suddenly standing much closer to the shadow.

Revealing mistake: In the opening establishing shots of Los Santos, there is a shot on the beach showing a woman lying down, and a dog running past her. Revealing mistake: Marriage Counselling: When Michael walks into his house at the start of the cutscene, keep an eye on the bouquet of white roses, shown in the hallway to the left of shot. In the very first frame, the white roses have been animated very brightly. After that first frame, an animation error occurs on-screen, where the white roses suddenly shift to a much more shadowed white.

Other mistake: Marriage Counselling: The opening shot of the intro cutscene is shown partway up the staircase of Michael's house looking down on the hallway. In the foreground of the shot, there is an ornament suspended from the ceiling, hanging around the staircase. The ornament starts off a very shaded colour, but an animation error occurs, causing the ornament to shift to a much lighter colour within a frame.

Other mistake: Marriage Counselling: When Franklin arrives at Michael's house to find the tennis coach jumping off the balcony, there are numerous animation errors shown around the balcony, notably when the player shifts the camera angles. First, there are flowers around the balcony when the coach jumps off, but there are some frames in which the flowers have not been animated. Second, there are some frames in which the door to the balcony has not been animated, leaving a colourless arch shape. Third, numerous rendering layers of the balcony door will pop-up on screen during each individual key frame when the camera angle is altered.

Revealing mistake: Marriage Counselling: Just after Michael and Franklin return to the house after thinking they have outrun Martin Madrazo, the game cuts to a cutscene showing a wide shot of them approaching the house, and Michael thanking Franklin. When this happens, an animation error occurs where the shadows of the house and trees alter on-screen.
