Continuity mistake: In the scene where the mirror is brought in for Lord Farquaad, Gingerbread Man lies on a tray on the table. When the mirror is shown, and it cuts back to Lord Farquaad, the tray is moved to the other side of the table. (00:17:25)

Continuity mistake: When the door to Shrek's house is first opened (just after the honeymoon), it opens into the house. Every other time it opens to the outside. It's not a two-way door, because you can hear it hit the doorframe. (00:04:50)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Lucius first goes into the woods, he picks a branch of berries off of a bush. The size of the branch and the number of berries on it is different when he is walking out of the woods. There are more berries and the branch is bigger than when he picked it. (00:26:50)

Continuity mistake: When the two villagers throw the slab of meat on the rock for the creatures, it lands rib side up. A second later the meat is shown from a different angle, and now it is lying skin side up. (00:38:05)

Continuity mistake: When Fiona shows her fighting talent by saving Shrek, they approach the trap holding hands, yet Fiona is not even visible in the medium range shot when Shrek is caught. (00:03:55)

Continuity mistake: When Puss in Boots plants his sword in the ground then jumps out of his boots, his sword, boots and hat are nowhere near any trees or grass. Yet after attacking Shrek, Puss in Boots lands in his boots, and his boots, sword and hat have moved to being right beside a tree. (00:32:30)

Visible crew/equipment: When Mary leans across the drugstore counter to whisper in George's bad ear, there is a small piece of tape on the edge of the counter right in front of her hand, presumably to show the actors where to position themselves for the shot (the tape isn't visible in the other shots showing that same section of the counter). (00:06:55)

Revealing mistake: When the Lion is pulling up the Tin Man with his tail on the way to the castle, you can see a square block inside the Lion's costume to hold the tail on. (01:20:00)

Continuity mistake: When Shrek backs into the two barrels at the tournament, they both have taps on them. He then bashes one of these off with the beer mug. But when Donkey rolls the other barrel the tap has vanished on that one as well. (00:24:00)

Continuity mistake: When the Witch melts, the broom is laying several inches from her dress. In the next shot, the broom is practically touching her dress. (01:26:20)

Continuity mistake: During the scene when Dorothy and Scarecrow are fighting with the trees, Scarecrow says "I'll show you how to get apples" and he gets hit by the apples. In the very next shot, a quick view of Dorothy reveals she is wearing black shoes, not her ruby slippers. (00:40:15)
