Revealing mistake: Claudia Black's character "Shazza" drives the vehicle back to the ship as the eclipse starts to take place. There is a front shot of the vehicle as it is driven through the bone yard. In this shot it is obvious that it isn't Claudia Black driving the vehicle. (00:53:50)

Alien Resurrection (1997)
Revealing mistake: In the underwater scene, Johner fires a grenade launcher at two of the aliens that are following him. Watch closely and you'll see the grenade pass through one of the aliens' head for a few frames without damaging it before exploding. Slow-mo might be helpful to spot it but isn't vital. It's perfectly visible at normal speed.

Pitch Black (2000)
Revealing mistake: In the fight scene between Riddick and Johns, there is a wide shot of them both fighting over Johns' shotgun. In this shot it is apparent that it is not Vin Diesel in the shot but in fact a stunt double. (01:17:35)

Batman Returns (1992)
Revealing mistake: When Batman glides off the rooftop we catch a glimpse of his face as he flies over Gotham. It isn't Michael Keaton, it's a rather crude looking dummy. (01:20:15)

Batman Returns (1992)

Aliens (1986)
Revealing mistake: Right before Ripley discovers all of the eggs that the Alien Queen has laid, look at Newt's fingers as Ripley is carrying her - It's obviously a fake hand. Newt is in fact a dummy in this scene, and others preceding the chase from the Alien Queen. This dummy was created so that Weaver would not get exhausted carrying a real child around for so many scenes/takes.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997)
Revealing mistake: One of the arrows that Spike gets hit with passes through just below his left shoulder, but there are times when you can tell that it is a fake arrow because the part of the arrow sticking out at the front moves and the part at the back does not. Look at the arrow just after Buffy turns Hus into a bear.

Alien (1979)
Revealing mistake: At the start of the film where we see the cockpit for the first time, you can see the camera shake as it bumps into something whilst it pans towards the seats. The sound of the bump can be heard as well.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997)
Revealing mistake: When Buffy saves the man from being hit by a car, there is a very quick shot of the man standing in front of the car. In this shot, Buffy can seen on the left hand side of the screen running into the street to save him. But the shot then immediately cuts to Buffy who is suddenly still standing on the other side of the street with Lily and runs into the street to save him again.

Firefly (2002)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Simon's dad bails him out of prison, there is one shot showing a very long corridor. It is only seen in this one shot, doesn't appear to have any depth to it and there are no people walking in it. That's pretty unlikely for an Alliance prison. I'm thinking that it is a backdrop.

Inside Man (2006)
Revealing mistake: When Detective Frazier enters the bank and tries to get the jump on Dalton Russell, they get into a struggle and fall down the stairs. As they fall down, look at Detective Frazier's head. It is supposed to be bald, but it suddenly has a full head of hair. It's quite obviously a stunt double.

Revealing mistake: When flashing to hitch a ride, black tape can be seen underneath Michelle Trachtenberg's top to preserve her dignity.

Firefly (2002)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Mal and Zoƫ exit the train, look closely at the woman in the yellow veil to the left of the screen holding a baby - she walks into a passing vehicle knocking her baby on its head (revealing it is really a doll).

Donnie Darko (2001)
Revealing mistake: When Gretchen gets run over, you can tell that a dummy was used as the car's wheels pass over her. The position of her head changes between shots and her body seems a little too still for a living person who's just been run over. She should have been tossed a few feet or maybe even gotten caught under the car's wheels.

Lies My Parents Told Me - S7-E17
Revealing mistake: When Spike tells his mother that he's become a vampire, she asks him if he's drunk. He responds with "Little bit." Just after he says this, someone can be heard coughing off-camera. It could be his mother because she isn't supposed to be well, but it seems odd that the camera wouldn't be on her during this. And a cough wouldn't really be necessary for the scene.
