The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Again true but she has time to change the position of her hands when we see her from behind. We can't see her hands during this time.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Not possible to tell, the shot is looking up from a very low position. The judge could easily still be there without us being able to see him.

Separate Vocations - S3-E18

Corrected entry: When the mean girls try to get Lisa out of the bad girl's washroom, the magazine that one of the girls was carrying disappears. The cigarette that the other girl was holding also vanishes. (00:11:40)

Yoshi

Correction: This is all true but the girl whose magazine disappears is out of shot for long enough to have dropped it or even put it down. The other girl's hand is out of sight long enough for her to have dropped it just as we saw the first girl do earlier.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: This is true but not in the least bit surprising since we clearly see Lisa switching the books from under her left arm to under her right.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: The submission is nonsense. Yes we see Bart moving but he moves himself and then we see him being thrown about in the car during the chase all of which is completely normal.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: It's a completely different shot which does not have to directly follow in time.

The Simpsons (1989)

Season 4 generally

Corrected entry: On the series 4 DVD box set there is a message from Matt Groening. In the message he is talking about some of the episodes, and refers to "Ralph Wiggum's immortal 'Choo-Choo-Choose Me' valentine to Lisa." In actually, it was a valentine from Lisa to Ralph, and the card read "I Choo-Choo-Choose You."

Scrappy

Correction: The card does say that but Matt Groening is referring to Ralph's first words upon receiving the card which are "You choo choo choose me?"

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: 1) It could simply be steam. 2) The plant is notoriously unsafe and in contravention of most laws so there may well be stuff burning inside. 3) Burns could easily be engaged in some illegal money-making activity inside the plant which involves burning.

Marge in Chains - S4-E21

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the episode, where it has Troy Mclure on a TV programme, Troy Mclure has a microphone. Notice that as he walks down the orange stairs, there is a wire following him, which is attached to the microphone. When Troy reaches the bottom of the stairs the wire has now disappeared from the stairs. (00:01:50)

Hamster

Correction: He's out of shot for long enough to have been given another microphone. He may need to move around and doesn't want an extremely long cable dragging behind him so there's a second mic connected closer to his current position or to the position he will next move to.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Not really a mistake in the Simpsons, more a nod to the fairly obvious, and poor, special effects used in these kind of movies.

Radio Bart - S3-E13

Corrected entry: When Bart accidentally drops the radio down the well, we can see in the first shot that the rope is in a bundle and is very long. In the next shot the rope appears to be shorter. (00:09:35)

Yoshi

Correction: Easy explanation. There were two pieces of rope wrapped in the bundle and Bart assumed it was one long piece. That's why he dropped the radio. The rest of the rope is still lying at Barts feet where we can't see it.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Sorry but no it doesn't, we see it from various different positions in the classroom so it appears to be different but the separate shots are consistent with the whole.

Correction: We can't see any detail to know what's outside. It simply looks as if it's dark so we can't see anything.

Saturdays of Thunder - S3-E9

Corrected entry: Before the time trials start, we can see how far the track is, but while Bart, Nelson and Martin are racing, considering the speed they're traveling, the track seems much longer. (00:12:25 - 00:14:35)

Yoshi

Correction: I've watched this scene again and there's nothing unusual about the length of the track or the time they take to complete it. When we see the track at the start we can't see the finish line so we have no way of telling if they take unusually long.
