Continuity mistake: Bargain Bin: When Homer reappears on top of the platform after falling off it, he is standing ahead of the other Simpsons. When Will Wright appears in the next shot, Bart and Lisa are suddenly ahead of Homer.
Continuity mistake: Bargain Bin: When the family arrives in the Game Engine and Marge asks "Where are we", she is shown holding onto Maggie. Marge has both hands around Maggie's back and Maggie is hunched backwards. Two shots after when Lisa says "We're in the Game Engine", Maggie is suddenly held upright and Marge's hands have changed position.
Other mistake: Lisa the Tree Hugger: When the logger finishes telling Bart and Lisa about how his daddy was a logger and his daddy before that, Bart is shown looking straight forward to his left to face the two loggers, before pretending to go to sleep. It then cuts to a wide shot of the four of them, and the two loggers can be seen ahead of Bart to his right. At this angle, he wouldn't have been able to be face-to-face with them if he was facing to the left.
Continuity mistake: Lisa the Tree Hugger: When the two loggers confront Bart and Lisa after they destroy the factory, one of the loggers is shown standing in front of the other. But in the final shot of them, the two are standing side by side.
Continuity mistake: Lisa the Tree Hugger: When Mr Burns is talking to Smithers about his evil plan, just as he finishes saying "and turn each tree into a single luxury toothpick", his forearm is raised above the desk. In the next shot, his elbow is suddenly rested on the armrest of the chair.
Continuity mistake: Lisa the Tree Hugger: When Lisa asks Bart where he got his super powers, Bart raises the manual to show to her. When he raises it, the manual is at a titled angle. When the shot cuts to Lisa, the manual isn't tilted at all.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: After everyone escapes the Game Engine, it cuts to an exterior shot of the Simpson house. In the shot, a red mat can be seen outside the front door. Later, when Lisa goes outside, the mat is now green. There is also a tap attached to the house shown in the establishing shot that disappears when Lisa goes outside.
Other mistake: Game Over: When Ralph puts down the game controller after he realises the player is looking at him, the controls on the controller don't appear to resemble actual buttons. They look more like circles with no distinct features.
Audio problem: Game Over: After God says he will grant all the Simpsons' requests, Lisa says "God. There is one thing." When she says "God", her mouth appears to close a split second before finishing the name.
Audio problem: Game Over: When God is asking the Simpsons what they want, Marge says "Put Springfield back the way it was." When she finishes the line, she makes an O shape with her mouth as if she is about to say something, but no additional dialogue is heard coming out.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: When God promises to make video game less violent, Marge is standing a foot behind Bart. Marge then nudges Bart on the shoulder, and she is standing right next to him.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: When Homer raises the baseball bat to God and says "Oops ain't gonna cut cut, Mr Glowing Visage Beautiful-Beyond-All-Description", Maggie is sitting in the baby carrier attached to Marge's back, and is directly facing God. In the next shot, Maggie is suddenly facing the opposite direction with her head now turned to the right to face God easier.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: When God says "Oops" after revealing he accidentally dropped the manual, Homer raises a baseball bat with wings. In this shot, the bat is held at a horizontal angle. But in the next shot, the bat is held at a more upright angle.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: When the manual is shown falling down to Springfield, the alley way that Bart is shown walking down appears to be one straight path. When this same alley way appeared earlier in Bartman Begins, Bart was shown turning around a corner that doesn't appear to be present in the overview shot. The corner can be seen when the shot of the manual landing on the ground from Bartman Begins is replayed.
Other mistake: Game Over: In the flashback of God losing the Simpsons Game manual whilst playing the game, when the flashback starts, he is shown pressing the buttons as if he were playing, and then takes out the manual because he has difficulty with the camera settings. But on the TV, we can see that the intro cutscene for Bartman Begins is playing, so he shouldn't have been using the controller at all for that part of the game.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: When God says to the Simpsons that the Simpsons Game was a mini-game inside his Earth game, Bart is shown standing slightly ahead of Lisa, and Marge is standing slightly ahead of Homer. When the shot cuts to a closer angle of them, Bart and Lisa are side by side and Marge and Homer are side by side.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: When God is telling the Simpsons about the Planet Earth game, the Simpsons are standing side by side. When the shot cuts to an angle higher up, Bart and Lisa are suddenly in front of Homer and Marge.
Continuity mistake: Game Over: When God is explaining to the Simpsons who they really are, all the Simpsons are standing next to each other, side by side. Then it cuts to a shot of Bart and Lisa, where Bart says "We knew that, Birkenstocks", but they are the only ones in frame. From this angle, at the very least, Marge should have been seen next to them.
Other mistake: Game Over: When everyone reaches heaven after climbing the stairway, there are a few other characters with them, such as Barney, Private Burns and two Game Engine workers. These characters are never heard from again for the rest of the level. They are not present in any of the gameplay, the cutscenes or even the rest of the opening cutscene after the gate closes, despite having the same goals as the Simpsons.
Other mistake: Game Over: Once Lisa has finished building the stairway to heaven out of Springfield buildings, the main characters and a crowd of at least twenty people are shown beginning to run up the stairway. Once they reach heaven, there are only about four other characters shown running through the heaven gates alongside the Simpsons.
