Other mistake: At the end of the film, as Will and Sylvia run from the time mission after giving away the million years, they run out of downtown and towards the border of the Zone. Raymond drives to that border, gets out of his car and runs towards them. The area is a desolate, empty road, with no buildings or other obstructions to the view - one can see miles across the landscape - yet Will and Sylvia don't see Raymond running towards them until they are within 50 feet of each other. Other mistake: Will did not have enough time to place into the pot at the poker game. For those at the end of a hand, they each have contributed a minimum of an equal percent based on the number of people in the hand. There were potentially 5 people at the start of the hand, and Will did not have enough to cover 20% of the final pot. He would have needed well over 200 years available, and we know he had a little over 100.

Suggested correction: It's suggested that Will was at the table for a while, and we, the viewers, return later to see the stakes have increased. This is established when the camera shows his wrist as having over 250 years available, when he entered with barely over 100.

Plot hole: In the last car-chasing scene, the timekeeper had switched his car to chase them, then how could Justin Timberlake get the timekeeper's salary (a day's time) from a car that the timekeeper picked up from the streets?

Suggested correction: I think it is the car of another time keeper. Hence, it may have a time transfer system.

Raymond Leon: I don't have time. I don't have time to worry about how it happened. It is what it is. We're genetically engineered to stop aging at 25. The trouble is, we live only one more year, unless we can get more time. Time is now the currency. We earn it and spend it. The rich can live forever. And the rest of us? I just want to wake up with more time on my hand than hours in the day.

Question: We see in the movie that the time is like money but where is the "time" generated?

Ddiods

Chosen answer: When they turn 25, their built-in clock starts counting down from 1 year. Since time is the currency, they must then work and contribute to the economy, in order to earn time and survive. The government gives that one year of time to each person, as both a population control measure (if they don't work and earn, they'll die) and an economic incentive.
