Continuity mistake: After returning from Ireland, when Holly hears Denise's phone message she throws the remote at her dresser and knocks over the frame face down. When she walks to the dresser the frame is now face up. Jewelry differs as well. (01:37:45)
Continuity mistake: When Holly picks up the shoe with Gerry's silver suspender clasp, the picture frame is upright with the phone behind it. When she turns the shoe around to examine it, the frame is lying flat on its back, with the phone in front of it. (01:38:00)
Other mistake: When Holly and her mother take a stroll in the park, Holly mispronounces the name of her dead husband - while the name is pronounced "dj-e-r-i" throughout the whole movie, Holly calls him "g-e-r-i" here. (01:48:50)
Continuity mistake: At Gerry's funeral, the guests do shots to honor him, placing the glasses on top of the urn. However, when everyone is getting food and drinks after, the urn is shown in the background with the glasses neatly in front of it again.
Other mistake: When Holly and Daniel are at Yankee Stadium, the seat numbers in the rows behind them are not consistent from row to row.
Continuity mistake: In Ireland, Holly and William are drinking in the kitchen. Between shots, the amount of liquid in Holly's glass changes.
Continuity mistake: When Holly and Daniel are in the small room at the back with alcohol, Daniel's hair continuously changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Holly takes the garments from the dry cleaning delivery guy, the envelope and note reading, 'found in leather jacket' are visible under the plastic. When she removes the envelope from the bag, the note's handwriting is quite different.
Revealing mistake: When Holly is in bed with William, and then finds out that he is 'Billy from the band', just as she pulls away from him to bolt out of bed, the modesty top she wears is quickly seen.
Factual error: At the beginning of the movie, we find out that Holly and Gerri were married when she was 19. She then turns 30, so at least 11 years have passed since the day that they met. However, when Holly sees Gerri in the pub on the day that they meet, he sings "The Galway Girl". This song was not written by Steve Earl until 2000, and they must have met sometime around the year 1996.
